  1. Another goal has been added to Jodi Jones’ tally, a decision I don’t question. If the EFL deems it appropriate to credit Jodi, then that’s satisfactory for me.
  2. Coventry City 1-3 Sunderland Millwall 0-2 Stoke City Joker Exeter City 1-0 Reading Lincoln City 1-1 Blackpool Bradford City 2-0 Crewe Alexandra Walsall 1-2 Grimsby Town Boreham Wood 2-0 Oldham Athletic Ebbsfleet United 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers
  3. I agree, he excels in the centre, while his defensive skills could potentially be enhanced, his role in that position is to orchestrate the game and dismantle the opposition’s strategies. His endeavours are difficult to overlook, as he consistently performs with a sense of pride and it’s evident that he puts in a great deal of effort. Ultimately, that’s all we ask for from a player.
  4. We’re aware that Luke Williams sets a high bar in terms of performance and results. Currently, as Notts acclimatise to competing against a superior calibre of players, it appears that Luke is choosing to concentrate on the end result rather than obsessing over the performance in his interviews. He will address these points in his post-match reflections, but beforehand, it’s as if he’s attempting to alleviate any pressure on the players. The progress we’ve made in such a brief period is commendable, and we simply need to maintain this momentum.
  5. I’m eagerly anticipating our return to Meadow Lane. A sunny day like the one we experienced in Doncaster would certainly lift spirits. Apart from night games, there’s nothing quite like a dry, sunny match to foster optimism. I have high hopes for Notts; while Tranmere Rovers aren’t a weak team, they seem to have taken longer to find their footing. We definitely need to see an improvement in our defence compared to the Grimsby match. With two strong teams for our first home games, a win could provide a significant morale boost.
  6. @DangerousSausage The EFL’s potential decision to dock points seems harsh, as it primarily affects the fans, which seems rather unjust. If the owner is indifferent, then it’s clear that he needs to be replaced. I firmly believe that English football authorities should take a more active role in resolving these issues.
  7. Welcome to PON, @NorthPie.
  8. Welcome to the PON site @Sir Magpie.
  9. I perceive Sean McConville’s injury as a significant setback for Accrington Stanley, given his status as a key player. Being sidelined for three months in football is quite substantial, so I sincerely hope for his swift recovery. Sam Bellis appears to be a promising acquisition for Barrow, who could benefit from a trialist in the forward position. If Graham Coughlan were to voice concerns about delays and other issues, rather than criticising high-profile managers, his complaints might carry more weight. His current approach seems more resentful than reasonable. Ben Foster’s retirement elicited laughter from me; it seems to be a hasty decision on his part and a disappointment for Wrexham. Had Wrexham been performing better, I doubt he would have chosen to retire. His claim of playing for the love of the game seems more about personal victory than team spirit. It’s intriguing to see our local rivals recruiting young talent. I hope Alfie Bradshaw thrives and avoids the fate of many academy players who are exploited and then discarded.
  10. I didn't accomplish much on Friday. On Saturday, I visited Doncaster and had an enjoyable away day. The weather was pleasant, the team spirit was high, and Notts delivered an impressive performance. I even had the opportunity to witness the team coach arriving, which turned into a fun moment with @liampie and @TheSkipper. On Sunday, I journeyed to Chester to spend time with family members. Since then, I have been incredibly occupied.
  11. Anticipating with hope, Macaualy Langstaff is likely to enjoy the rendition of his chant at Meadow Lane this Saturday. Undoubtedly, it will leave a strong impression. I appreciate his remarks regarding Sam Austin; it's a touch of class that he acknowledges and praises us fans for our unwavering support. This recognition is not lost on the fans; both the players and the club are actively fostering this camaraderie, and I hope we can sustain it throughout the season.
  12. Luke Williams demonstrates eloquence in the manner he conveys his thoughts. He refrains from hasty reactions and articulates his ideas thoughtfully, rather than speaking out of frustration. Despite a simple mistake from Jim O'Brien, it's evident that he didn't do so intentionally or score an own goal. From Luke Williams, nothing less than providing the deserved support for O'Brien can be expected.
  13. Positivity takes precedence; negativity simply drains the vibrancy and casts a shadow over everything. I find it disheartening when we encounter challenging periods, since their inevitability is undeniable. This is precisely why I believe certain pessimistic individuals on social media should come to terms with our favourable standing. We shouldn't anticipate victory in every game; our achievements have been forged through diligent effort. In my years of supporting Notts, the connection between the fans and the club has never been stronger.
  14. While I can only recall a small number of players, I still acknowledge the value of the photograph and I'm grateful for its sharing. I encourage fellow members to contribute their memories of their favourite player from that season, as it would render the experience much more relatable.
  15. It will require a considerable amount of time for the implementation to be executed in a manner that avoids resulting in a yellow card, a concern given the excessive number of such cards being issued to players this season. Alongside the occurrence of some puzzling card decisions, the game's consistency is being compromised. However, I do concur with the underlying principle. A few players from Doncaster gestured towards the referee, one of them even managed to rise from the ground, seemingly after having been fouled, to signal a card motion. In a matter of moments, he transitioned from appearing injured to confronting the referee directly, yet he escaped a booking.
  16. The presence of numerous inserts interspersed within the content proves to be distracting and impedes my focus on the storyline. This sensation actually led me to abandon the task. Entities like Red Bull indeed exploit clubs as a means to safeguard their investments. In essence, it functions as a major sponsorship arrangement.
  17. I'm genuinely delighted for Macaulay Langstaff; he's truly earned this goal. His relentless work rate alone is commendable; he never seems to stop and consistently seeks opportunities to engage with the ball and take a shot. While things might not have aligned previously, I thought that this particular match marked his best performance of the season so far – and I've followed every league game. I hope this achievement bolsters his confidence and encourages him to continue scoring in the upcoming matches.
  18. The insights offered in this comprehensive article regarding the game are truly valuable. I derive great satisfaction from delving into these in-depth pieces that delve into tactics and personal viewpoints. Both @Chris and @TheSkipper present highly logical perspectives. I wish more fans would share these articles, amplifying their reach beyond a few likes. Most of PON's content deserves wider recognition, and I'm pleased that the hard work invested by the team is gaining traction on Twitter, largely thanks to the remarkable efforts of the manager.
  19. I believe Luke Williams might be slightly stringent in his reaction to conceding a single goal, even considering the way it occurred. It's evident that he holds himself to high standards, reflecting a clear perfectionist streak. While this inclination isn't inherently negative, I wonder if comments about the goal could have been omitted by a more seasoned manager, given that we did secure the win. You know, perhaps reserving such discussions for the privacy of the dressing room while maintaining an optimistic outward appearance. Then again, it's worth noting that Williams consistently upholds honesty, a quality that I deeply respect.
  20. It's a pleasure to see the Faces of PON making a comeback. The sheer quality it brings is evident, and I can't help but wish that more Notts fans could fully grasp the extent of the gaffer's contributions to all of us.
  21. Brilliant work, @ARLukomski! Keep up the great efforts and remember to keep that smile going! Your vlogs have truly become an integral part of our community. It's fantastic to witness their return to PON as well, providing you with extra visibility. Hopefully, we'll get the chance to interact with you more on the forums, as your insights are always sensible and valuable. Looking forward to following this season's journey and relishing your videos just as much.
  22. It's absolutely essential to secure contract extensions for key players, but this development surpasses expectations, highlighting the unpredictability of outcomes. The news of his first two goals for Notts, coupled with his extended contract, is truly uplifting. If he fulfils his contract and potentially breaks Les Bradd's record, he could well become a club legend. Such an accomplishment would signify the club's progress, a feat that might have seemed improbable to many.
  23. I appreciate the change and the addition of new personnel. If Mark Stallard is available, he's undoubtedly an essential inclusion. However, between Adam and Dave, either choice is completely acceptable. I've enjoyed listening to both of them based on what I've heard. There's no reason not to.
  24. Booing shouldn't be the response, but there's limited space for such matters, given the challenge of commemorating a fan's passing with collective approval. That's the stance some clubs have taken in the past.
  25. The game usually always opens up in the second, it's a strong showing and our lads are chasing everything. There's a feeling this could end up 5-0. Macaulay Langstaff acknowledging our end after his second with a real big grin says it all for me.
