  1. Has this run its course? If no one guesses, I'll call it a day doing this.
  2. We are once again reminded of our good fortune to have steadfast owners supporting our club. Tales of clubs in distress are always disheartening to hear. It is our sincere hope that Wigan can overcome their challenges and recover unscathed from any significant difficulties.
  3. We shouldn't draw comparisons between our team and those in the Championship; however, it is worth considering the increased amount of time afforded on the ball. Many opponents encourage attacks, preferring to gain possession and utilise their quick players to create difficulties. We possess a few individuals who could potentially achieve success at a higher level, but it is crucial to concentrate on our strengths as a competitive League Two squad, at least for the time being. Advancing to establish ourselves as a League One team might be a gradual process, and we as fans must acknowledge and accept this reality, especially if we wish to avoid regressing in the future.
  4. The primary aspect of participating in the football league is that it marginally decreases the expenses that our owners need to invest. Despite the fact there is no profit to be made in football, there is no question that the Reedtz utilise the resources available to us judiciously.
  5. I believed he was okay, nothing extraordinary during his time at Notts. He contributed with essential goals and undoubtedly exerted effort. I concur, and I'm delighted to see him thriving.
  6. There's no lovelier location to settle down, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and pleasant weather. I hope he's content and experiencing life at its finest.
  7. Welcome, @BlackandWhitePie. To the Pride of Nottingham, we are pleased to have you here.
  8. Hello, welcome to PON @Stuart McNeil. We're glad you joined.
  9. Hello, @HarryNCFC0. Welcome to PON. All the best to you.
  10. I thought Jimmy Knowles played really well when he was feeling good about himself. He always tried his best, but unfortunately, some of our fans didn't appreciate him and wrote him off even after he played really well. They would say that his hattricks were just lucky, for example, which wasn't very fair. I think you can always make your own luck in football. Anyway, I wish Jimmy Knowles all the best!
  11. It's really sad to hear that they're going through a tough time, but I hope they can sort things out before it gets too serious. Even still, it's a shame, but at least it gives them some time to try and turn things around.
  12. That's really nice of Google to do! I don't recall seeing it myself, but to be fair I wasn't searching for Notts around that time. Either way, it's a neat little touch!
  13. Oh blimey, it's quite surprising, isn't it? Even folks you meet at work sometimes don't have a clue. I remember when my workplace offered a chance to watch a local team play, and some Nottingham locals thought Notts County were the cricket club! When I told them it's my team, one person even said they thought they were more northern than Forest. I do me best to politely educate people about how Notts County is the original Nottingham club, and that they're not about cricket. Gotta spread the word, eh?
  14. I am excited for the pre-season and will definitely watch the home games. @liampie, I might also join you for some away games.
  15. It would be great to have sunny days without extreme heat. I hope we can avoid very hot days. I am looking forward to it. This year has been unusual with too much rain and murky days.
  16. Great job, @Chris. You’ve done well with it, gaffer.
  17. It’s great to see that German football is taking a more proactive approach than just promoting a mental wellbeing charity. It’s important to go beyond that and for the clubs to be actively involved in supporting their fans, and vice versa. Mental health is a crucial issue and it’s encouraging to see the football community taking steps to address it. @liampie At least you got there and persisted for your friend. I’m sure @Chris appreciates it, even if Notts doesn’t care about all of their fans. There are people here and around him that do care!
  18. There are members missing in action who, for some reason, don’t post. Life does get in the way and the club’s interest may peak or allow them to lose interest. With all due respect, I care not for those who aren’t present but for those who are. I think @Piethagoram has been amazing since arriving and deserves to be named the Member of the Year. If past members want to get involved, that’s good. If they choose to sit it out for whatever reason, so be it. I don’t miss them; I only miss those who can’t be here like @GrannyPie and @Who r ya?? You Pies!!.
  19. Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 1 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie - 1 @super_ram - 1 Round 9 Clue: This person was born in a region of the UK known for its textile industry and started their career with a football club located in Greater Manchester. They were voted as the greatest-ever in their position by fans of a certain club. They also represented their country in two sports. Can you guess who it is?
  20. Welcome to the community @Ohh Tommy Johnson! We hope you have a great time sharing your thoughts and getting settled in.
  21. I’m happy for you and your family, Adam. You’ve faced challenges but have shown strength and courage. Macaulay is lucky to have such caring parents and siblings. I hope he grows up to love Notts County as much as you do.
  22. The Samsung Tab series is excellent. Surface Pros are also popular and you can find one that runs Windows 10/11 natively with apps. They use ARM processors, which are efficient but not as powerful as laptop/computer CPUs. I would recommend avoiding Apple. While their products are good for those who can afford them, it can be difficult to get certain models repaired in a timely manner if something goes wrong.
  23. Alex Pooley This is another example of someone twisting information from a reliable source to create nonsense. I agree with Chris that if both clubs want a deal, they will find a way to make it work and the tweet would be irrelevant. It’s interesting to discuss, but it’s best to avoid people who pretend to know what’s happening. If Ruben and Derby both want to make a deal happen, what’s stopping them? I doubt Ruben would demand specific wages and bonuses and Derby would delay the discussion. They would negotiate and reach an agreement. I don’t think any deal is being considered since Ruben Rodrigues is probably on vacation with his family.
  24. They speak nonsense and are not a credible paper or a site run by university-educated individuals. They claim to have information from agents and sources that likely don’t exist. I don’t trust anything from that website.
  25. @Fan of Big Tone - no, neither of those two players. In my opinion, he didn’t spend much time at Notts. His career wasn’t as successful as @liampie’s. I don’t want to comment on that. However, he is known for participating in many charity games.
