  1. What a signing for Notts County! Jodi Jones is an absolute baller who can tear apart any defence with his pace and skill. He was a joy to watch during his loan spell and I’m so happy he’s staying with us for the next two years. He’s got a bright future ahead of him and he’ll be a key player for us.
  2. This is a fantastic signing for Notts County. Jodi Jones is one of the best players in the league and he’ll only get better with more experience and confidence. He’s got pace, skill, vision and a great attitude. He’s a joy to watch and I can’t wait to see him in action again.
  3. I apologise, I made an error. I initially believed he was a right back, but upon checking to confirm, I discovered references to him being a centre back. @Fozzy is indeed correct; I am uncertain if he played there later in his career. I shall update the table and return with a new participant tomorrow around 6pm.
  4. I like it! However, it’s incorrect unfortunately. I never thought that mentioning John Terry could lead to Sol Campbell, but it’s a clever assumption.
  5. I subscribed to PiesPlayer for two seasons, but in the end, I regretted it because the content started to slow down. However, the club has shown that they can invest in the service and make it more worthwhile - their coverage of the Wembley match was fantastic. I hope they take some time to reflect on what the service could be and work on improving it. Otherwise, I’ll stick with watching highlights on YouTube.
  6. Welcome back, lads! Let’s leave the past behind us and move forward. If you have any issues or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of the team members. I’m always here to help and will do my best to resolve any conflicts without anyone falling out. It’s great to have you both back with us.
  7. No, that’s not quite right, but it was a good guess. I’ll reveal a little something that might help you figure out who this person is - he played in the same position on the pitch as John Terry. Keep those guesses coming!
  8. @JohnTheBost The show is just over an hour long, but you can shave off some time by skipping past the parts that aren’t related to Notts County. I really enjoyed it - although I do think it would be more appealing if they featured some fans who aren’t usually given a platform to speak. That being said, I understand why they choose certain people - it helps them to share and promote the show. I also really enjoy listening to David Jackson - I wish he covered Notts County instead of Charlie Slater. Whenever he has covered our matches in the past, I always felt like I had a better understanding of what happened on the pitch than when Charlie was commentating.
  9. It’s a tough choice as there were so many great goals to choose from. I think the club could have narrowed down their selection to just 5 goals to make it easier for us to decide. However, I’m going to go with the one that stands out most in my memory - John Bostock’s goal against Wrexham.
  10. Congratulations to Nottingham Forest on securing their place in the Premier League! It’s a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players, staff and fans. Wishing them all the best for the upcoming season.
  11. It’s not Frank Vincent or John Bostock, although both are excellent guesses based on the limited information provided in the first clue. The second clue: He is now a manager. The first four teams he played for have a very interesting pattern that was only broken after he signed from one London club to another.
  12. I worked from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Occasionally, I ate out, but mostly I had a packed lunch. Nothing noteworthy happened during this time as I spent every day contributing to PON. I re-joined Facebook after forgetting the password to my old account and have been making new friends in the Nottingham community. For the past two days, I have been relaxing and posting on social media. I had planned to do something more adventurous today, but I couldn’t be bothered.
  13. Great articles, lads! It’s wonderful to see @TheSkipper featured and the return of the Notts Alumni articles.
  14. Notts has had a successful run during the conference years, performing well in their first season. Some fans may have had changing expectations due to the arrival of the Reedtz and the possibility of increased spending. However, it’s important to note that both the Reedtz and the club as a whole needed time to adjust. Finishing in the playoffs has been a great achievement and could serve as a hallmark of the club’s success. The two appearances at Wembley were incredible experiences, and it’s unfortunate that fans were unable to attend due to COVID restrictions. Achieving promotion within four seasons is a respectable accomplishment!
  15. The Non-League Paper has provided good coverage of the league, offering a fair perspective.
  16. In terms of notable free kicks, I can only recall those involving Notts or goals scored against the club, which have already been mentioned.
  17. This is signs of a top, top player. Langstaff’s performance is nothing short of amazing. He has consistently delivered outstanding performances on the field, showing incredible skill and precision. His talent and dedication are truly admirable, and he has proven himself to be a top-tier player.
  18. Don’t worry, this time I’ve been much more careful, but there’s still enough information for some guesses to be made. Once I receive two guesses or any questions, I’ll follow up.
  19. Jonathan Forte had an incredible ability to find the back of the net. He was a natural goal scorer with a keen eye for finding the perfect shot. His talent for scoring goals was matched only by his passion for the game, and he always gave his all for the team. Forte’s time at Notts County was filled with plenty of good memories, as he consistently delivered top-notch performances on the pitch. He was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten.
  20. Hello @Fan of Big Tone, the objective of this game is to discover the identity of a former Notts player or manager. Indeed, this individual did play for Notts.
  21. Sorry about that! Earlier, I thought I had sent this message but it appears it was left unsent on my screen. Now it’s finally here. I’ll wait for a few questions before revealing anything in great detail. I’m aiming for 3 to 4 rounds of accurate guesses! Round 8: Clue: He came from London, but he wandered far and wide. He played in many places, but he never stayed for long. Who is he?
  22. I don’t listen to any podcasts, but I do occasionally watch The Magpie Circle. Despite being of the age where you might expect me to consume a lot of media on YouTube, I don’t. I’m not a teenager anymore.
  23. Based on our squad, I believe we could make the playoffs, but we might also end up mid-table. Our squad needs to learn how to compete against professional teams with better overall squads. I hope we can secure points against teams we’re expected to beat. I’m not setting my expectations too high and will support the club regardless of the outcome.
  24. As for today, I don’t have any plans. I went for a walk earlier and stopped by the local shop on my way back. Since then, I’ve mostly been watching various sports on TV. I don’t have any plans for tomorrow either. Work takes up most of my time these days, so it’s nice to relax when I can.
  25. 50,000 - wow! At first, I thought it might be more, but after thinking about it, it seems about right. I hope it’s against a good team so that the club can make a day of it and try to set a League Two attendance record. I’m not sure what that record is, but it sounds nice!
