  1. I couldn't agree more with the sentiment that a high attendance and top-quality football go hand in hand. There's a unique energy that comes with having a large crowd in attendance at a match that can drive the team to perform at their best. And when the football is of a high standard, it can elevate the entire experience and make it a real spectacle. Nothing beats the thrill of watching a close game play out in front of a passionate crowd, with both teams playing their hearts out. Whether you're watching from the stands or at home, it makes for a truly exciting viewing experience. So I wholeheartedly support efforts to attract more fans and improve the quality of football on display, as I believe it will benefit everyone involved.
  2. I'm impressed with the strides the club has taken in recent years. Achieving promotion to the Championship would be a significant milestone for the team, and it would be a clear indication of how far we've come. I have faith that our squad will continue to adapt and improve as we strive for success at the highest level. It's important that we maintain a strong sense of identity as a club and remain organic and different from others. By doing so, we can continue to move forward and progress towards our goals. I appreciate that our level may not remain the same in 5 or 19 years' time, but I'm hopeful that we'll have made more significant progress by then. Ultimately, I believe that if we continue to focus on developing our team and building on our strengths, we'll achieve great things and make our mark on British football.

  9. I share your confidence in the club's ability to make the most of the funds available to them. It's always exciting to see the team make additions to their squad, and I believe that we could benefit from another solid centre back. However, as you mentioned, it's important to be patient and see what the future holds regarding renewals before making any rash decisions. It's crucial that the club considers all factors when it comes to signing new players and ensuring the team is capable of performing at their best. Most importantly, the club should always prioritise making strategic decisions to ensure future success, and I believe that with careful planning and execution, they can continue to excel both on and off the field. I look forward to seeing what's in store for the upcoming season, and I'm hopeful that the team can secure the right players to deliver an outstanding performance.
  10. @Fan of Big Tone I can certainly relate to your feelings as an English native when it comes to writing with American spelling. It can be challenging to maintain the correct spelling format in certain situations, especially as we are exposed to so much American English in the media. However, I agree that it's essential to maintain the proper UK English spellings, not only on social media but also in real-life situations, where they are considered the standard.
  11. Cheers, @Piethagoram! That £200,000 for Oldham is absolutely brilliant news, and it's very much appreciated. It'll likely help us all out a fair bit. Thanks for sharing the relevant link.
  12. I remember you, @Nocturnal-Magpie! Welcome back.
  13. I reckon Kyle Cameron and Aaron Nemane will sign new deals too. They've both been playing well and seem happy in our team. As for Sam Slocombe, I can see him finding a new League Two club as well, it might be the right time for him to move on. Jim O'Brien is a tough one to call - I hope he stays with us for another season, but I've read those coaching rumours as well. It's understandable if he wants more time with his young lad. Ruben Rodrigues, fingers crossed, should commit for one more season. I don't think he's in talks with other clubs just yet, and Notts will likely have been keeping the conversation going during his time away. Those are my thoughts on the matter, let's see what happens!
  14. It's brilliant to see the fans in Germany being so supportive and their clubs potentially offering help in future. It's true that sports can really bring people together. It'd be lovely if UK clubs could do the same, but picturing Arsenal fans in a room might just end up like Arsenal Fan TV! It's still worth considering though, to boost unity among fans.
  15. I reckon the lad gave a good go, despite being thin. But, maybe he ain't ready for big matches at our level or National League. Not sure if he's had enough practice. He did try hard and looked decent, but I wonder, if Mansfield didn't fancy him much, why would Notts?
  16. Isn't it true that football league games are only on Sky Sports? I thought that was part of their deal. It's quite interesting to hear about the money shared down to League Two. With Notts being in the National League for 4 years, they'd only get the parachute payment for 2 years after relegation. Does anyone know the value of that payment?
  17. It's quite sad to witness clubs in such a state. They think docking points will serve as a punishment and warning to sort things out, but it's already too late. In the end, it's the fans who suffer the most. Wishing them the best, truly a shame to see this happen.
  18. I recall watching Aaron Collins' highlights as well, mate. If he can just work on the timing of his runs, he could be a proper threat up front for any team. He's got that lightnin' fast pace, maybe not as quick as Lewis Knight, but enough to be a right handful. The lad's got bags of potential. I reckon he ended up at Newport, didn't he? Or was that where he started off?
  19. The way I see it, Notts will indeed need a good depth and cover to ensure success this season. Bringing in a young striker could serve as an excellent backup option, allowing them to gain experience and feature more prominently in cup games. Additionally, signing one or two central midfielders, a centre-back aged between 20-24, and a high-quality left wing-back would benefit not only the team's balance but also help bring out the best in Adam Chickens.
  20. It's truly a shame that Hednesford Town have had to abandon the 23/24 season. Is there really nothing that can be done to salvage the situation? It sounds absolutely dreadful for the team, fans, and the community as a whole.
  21. I watched the videos they left me with goosebumps and a range of overwhelming emotions. The first one was particularly emotional, almost bringing me to tears. Nonetheless, all of the videos were absolutely beautiful and powerful. The way they captured the essence of their subjects and portrayed them in such a compelling way was nothing short of breathtaking. I found myself completely engrossed in each video, unable to look away. They were a reminder of the beauty and emotion that can be found in everyday life, and I was left feeling inspired and grateful for the experience.
  22. I really enjoy watching Charlie Slater and Mark Stallard's commentary on goals. They have great chemistry and their passion for the game really shines through. I particularly like how they show a lot of emotion when celebrating a goal - it makes for an exciting and engaging viewing experience. Together, they make a great duo and their play-by-play commentary is always spot on. Their enthusiasm for the game is infectious and it really adds to the enjoyment of watching football. I think Charlie Slater and Mark Stallard are fantastic.
  23. I watched the video showing the National League teams' positions throughout the season and it's really cool! It's fascinating to see how teams have progressed over time, and the video's production quality is top-notch. As a fan of the National League, I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance. It's a great way to stay up-to-date on the season's progress and get a better understanding of how the league table has evolved.
