  1. I saw a news report on this a few days ago. They interviewed an elderly woman about when she wanted to be repaid. She said, “Today’s fine”. I thought she was right. It’s high time they received their compensation and this issue was put to rest. Let the victims live the rest of their lives without this burden. They’ve suffered enough.
  2. He’s a brilliant young talent. I hope we integrate him more into the team. Gradually introducing him into games as a substitute would be a good start. From what I’ve seen, he seems ready for football, so I hope we give him that platform without hastily sending him out on loan.
  3. Norwich fans seem impressed, which makes it more exciting. Luke Williams might have been reluctant to start younger players for some reason, but I think Stuart Maynard will see the value in playing Jaden Warner. Some young players are just ready for football, and he could do a job for his parent club, which means we should play him.
  4. It’s a positive update. The return of the players will add depth to our bench. I’m not sure if Notts will bring in more players, but I don’t think so. I believe we shouldn’t rush Cedwyn Scott and Matt Palmer, let them return at their own pace.
  5. Cheers to the medical team at Notts for all their hard work with the lads! It's no joke dealing with long-term injuries, but sounds like Bajrami’s taking it in stride and Scott’s managing well. It's about more than just physical recovery; it's the mental battle too. Staying positive and keeping at it is the key!
  6. Massive congrats to James Sanderson on the professional contract. It’s heartwarming to see a young, hungry player get his chance and truly grab it with both hands. His humility, talent and enthusiasm shout 'Notts County' through and through. The club has done well to recognize and lock down his potential. Here’s hoping he’s the first of many such success stories from our academy ranks.
  7. Maynard's commitment of three and a half years gives the club some much-needed stability. Looking forward to see how his philosophy translates on the pitch.

  9. Steve Cooper’s dismissal doesn’t matter to me, I believe he’s better off. It was always going to be a challenge for him, especially as the club’s recruitment is essentially whoever their owner prefers. I think Cooper will find a suitable project. He performed a miracle by taking them from almost certain relegation to League One to the Premier League. That’s the gratitude he receives.
  10. Note down my email, I fully support this.
  11. I understand. The Anglo-Italian Cup did provide a nice opportunity for a short break. While Scotland might not have the same allure, it would be good to see the cup return, as long as the fixtures don’t cause too much disruption.
  12. We could certainly pick up a few pointers from Stockport County’s defensive tactics, even though I felt they played a bit rough and some fouls were overlooked. Nonetheless, it’s undeniable that they’re a competent team and we held our own against them. There’s no disappointment in that. Our players gave their all, which is all we can ask for. I believe Aden Baldwin deserves special mention for his stellar performance in our defence tonight.
  13. David McGoldrick and Jodi Jones were unfortunate with attempts outside the box. Any thoughts on if we need to shake up our attacking strategy?
  14. Luke Williams really gets what this club is about. We just can't afford to stand still.
  15. I think what strikes me the most about Macari is his humility combined with a clear passion for the sport. The way he talks about his experiences, the learning curve of playing regular league matches, the initial challenges of a new way of playing, it's all very relatable for anyone who's tackled change and growth. His mental fortitude alone is inspiring, not to mention his evident skill on the field. Even when he wasn't in the squad, he remained positive and eager to contribute. That's a sign of a committed player. I for one am excited for this journey he’s begun with Notts County.
  16. Just when you think you've figured out football, statements like "We're more unpredictable than the league" humble you. It's a reflection of the unpredictable essence of football, and I'm eager to witness the unfolding of this potpourri of surprises on the field.
  17. Does anyone know their usual formation? I don’t anticipate many changes from Luke Williams, and I can’t envision him altering the formation. He appears content with it, but tactically, we might play more defensively and closer to the goalkeeper. I’m hopeful that we can achieve a positive outcome. It would be beneficial for us.
  18. Hull City 1-0 Cardiff City Swansea City 0-2 Middlesbrough Barnsley 1-2 Charlton Athletic Joker Port Vale 1-0 Wigan Athletic Doncaster Rovers 0-1 Morecambe Newport County 0-2 Grimsby Town Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 Wealdstone Dorking Wanderers 2-0 Woking
  19. I was unaware that he was a coach at Swansea City. It appears he’s done quite well for himself after retirement. I’ve always believed he was superior to a League One/Two player.
  20. Harrogate will be in a curious state of mind considering their current form. I don’t think we need to overthink, but rather focus more on enhancing our performance. The upcoming weekend match could be a pivotal game for this season if it turns out well.
  21. It would be a nice to see Macca score his first league hat-trick. His current form is impressive, and his relentless running on the pitch is a significant factor in this. His constant movement not only showcases his physical prowess but also his tactical understanding of the game. It disrupts the opponents’ defensive formations and creates opportunities for his team. Walsall, on the other hand, is a team that shouldn’t be underestimated. Despite their current standing in the league table, they possess the potential to pose a formidable challenge. Teams often grow and evolve throughout the season, and their current position might not fully reflect their capabilities. The progression of the match could be gradual, with both teams taking time to gauge each other’s strategies and adapt accordingly. The second half of the match could be the turning point. This is often the case in football, as the teams would have had the chance to regroup and strategise during the half-time break. Player fitness will undoubtedly play a crucial role in this match.
  22. Owning our assets would be great, but it depends on the costs involved. Having our own training ground could lead to extra maintenance expenses. Coexisting might be more beneficial. As long as we have a home at Meadow Lane and a good standard training ground, I’m content.
  23. The goal was superbly timed and executed. He managed to skillfully direct the ball into the net, out of the goalkeeper’s reach.
  24. It’s encouraging to hold high expectations for our young players. I was quite taken with their performances in the pre-season. I extend my best wishes to James Sanderson. His debut is something he won’t easily forget.
  25. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @TT1970.
