Match Discussion: Game 38 - Pompey (A)
@notts-joe I wouldn't say it's confidence, it's about a basic ability to defend.... I have just listened to Mark Cooper's radio interview... Maybe my rating for Hewitt of 2, was too generous. Expect Edwards to be in on Tuesday...

Match Discussion: Game 38 - Pompey (A)
On the anniversary of my 49th year of my first Notts match, what can only be described as a defensive shambles, I have just witnessed. An ironic chant towards the end of the game, by Notts supporters "You're not very good, as you only scored 4"... and Portsmouth crowd chanting towards Izzy... "You're still effing useless, as we've known you here before"... Actually both those chants were precisely to the point, it is sad to say. I have recently been banging on about giving Luther Wildin his chance at right back. Hewitt, exposed his defensive frailties for the umpteenth time this season and offered nothing in an offensive sense either. Smith had a good first half but again faded badly in the second, as his legs have had it. Hewiit's opposite number Ben Davies, formerly of this parish, gave an expert lesson in how to deliver a ball. Pompey's Kyle Bennet, who Notts tried to get from Donny back in September 2013, gave a lesson of good movement and perfect timing of runs. Ratings Loach 5 Suspect positioning for conceding the first but couldn't really do much with the others Hewitt 2 No pride, no passion, no defensive positioning awareness...maybe even 2 is too generous ( how come he wasn't substituted?) Milsom 5 Held up his side of the park reasonably well. No creative runs Boyce 3 Still doubting his match fitness Hollis 3 Didn't fit comfortably into the system, lack of footballing ability there for all to see Smith 4.5 Good first half for his reading of the game, but heavy legged for the second. Players were just running through him in the end...lucky to avoid a straight red towards the end for bundling the guy over on half way Thompson 5.5 Usual energy, put in a great cross which Stead contrived to miss with a powder puff header. Despite the effort, sheer lack of quality in terms of spotting an incisive pass Noble 4 Unusual for an invisible performance..most un-Noble like. Aborah 5 Pompey contrived to make his misjudged challenge worse than it actually was. Have watched the replay and their guy took the opportunity to fall over Stanley's outstretched leg. Nice ball skills, as one would expect...and was surprised he was pulled off. Maybe not yet match fit Izzy 2 well, that's 150k down the swanny. The guys a fraud away from home. Half-hearted challenges for the ball, poor control when he gets the ball, chants of Portsmouth crowd spot on... Stead 3.5 How he didn't convert Curtis's cross after their keeper dropped the ball...even I could have scored that with some power in the old neck muscles. Lives on past reputation a lot and really didn't trouble their defence at all Not going to mark the Subs, too depressed. MC has a job on his hands and Brano needs to volunteer his resignation, for recommending players like Hewitt, who are not good enough. Supporting Notts doesn't get any easier after 49 years. The pain of defeat still lingers

Match Discussion: Game 38 - Pompey (A)
Tomorrow is my 49th anniversary of watching Notts...my first match 25 March 1967.... stood as a wee lad on the County Road to witness a 0-1 defeat to Exeter. Stanley and an away win will do nicely. @Elite_pie Wildin has demonstrated in the Reserve games, he can prevent crosses. Hewitt and Atkinson are both not good enough...so give Luther his chance!

Match Discussion: Game 38 - Pompey (A)
@upthepies Luther Wildin, from the Notts Youth / Reserve team... Piethagoram thinks he is going to make it, based on the few matches I have seen him play. Agathise, at Centre Half, another player to look out for

Match Discussion: Game 38 - Pompey (A)
Team for Fratton... Loach Wildin, Amevor, Hollis, Milsom Snijders Thompson Aborah Noble Valencic Stead Boyce is excluded as not fit enough, Wildin is the best Right Back, time to blood him in...Amevor's been away on international duty so will have to play as he gets off the plane... Snijders and Valencic should be able to put plenty of crosses in, to create chances ( a word that was not in Jamie's vocabulary )

Jamie Fullarton looking to add to Notts County squad
Ricardo's team had no trouble scoring. Jamie's self inflicted ignorance of sidelining players like Stanley, Filip and Genaro, makes me very angry

Piethagoram's dreaming of angles: Loach Wildin Amevor Hollis Milsom Campbell Noble Curtis Stanley Valencic Stead But team likely to be as @NewNottsFan says

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Daggers (H)
The last paragraph from Elite sums up where we are. Especially the piece...the most pathetic football I have seen in 45 years. ... Whatever the rights and wrongs of Stanley, I've lost all confidence in Jamie's ability to pick a team and develop a creative style. Not a lot needed fixing post Moniz. The "statement" issued today bordered on unprofessional in not really addressing all the issues raised. A PR disaster and maybe Winter (now is the Winter of our discontent) should also depart. I like to consider myself as a level headed poster, but I have reached a point of no return.

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Daggers (H)
I always value @Elite_pie 's view. His summary sums up my feelings too. "Out of his depth....., ...most pathetic football I've seen in 45 years". I would just add another 4 years for me, .. 49 years this month. I have never felt so disenfranchised from this great club.

Match Discussion: Game 33 - The Pilgrims (A)
Loach Wildin Agathise Amevor Milsom Noble Aborah Thompson Campbell Valencic Stead Don't think we will get anything from the game hence Piethagoram's inspiring line up. At least it will show the youngsters the step up required to make the grade. Jamie will field same starting 11 at Accrington saying this is his best team. After a pasting, he says he felt no need to change by using substitutions as they were not fit enough to be on the bench.

Match Discussion: Game 32 - Stanley (A)
On reflection, we all knew Accrington were a good passing side and any reasonable professional, would have set up a 4 5 1 formation to counter. Listening to Magpie Player, Smith's name was barely mentioned. Also having listened to Colin's talk with Jamie regarding Aborah, the lack of respect was so apparent. How can the supporters get behind this guy, who obviously lives in a self induced bubble?

Match Discussion: Game 32 - Stanley (A)
@tarquinbeech I have just decided to decline to make the trip tonight... I always like the trips to Accrington, a ground unchanged for proper football but I am getting tired on driving up the M6 to witness a Stanley-less team. Saturday's game against Orient quite frankly knocked a hell of a lot of the stuffing ( read "hope") out of me. If I had confidence he was going to field a more creative team, I would have gone tonight but the reality will be same team again.

Match Discussion: Game 32 - Stanley (A)
I was hoping for a case of Stanley (Accrington) meets Stanley (Aborah) but feel the meeting will not and more likely never happen again. the chance is lost. A cold chill tonight will come down off the Pennines, where the sheep in the hills will outnumber a paltry amount of County fans. Accrington will play football and hopefully Josh Windass is still injured. Hoping for a Notts win against expectations, because it will be a long journey home
