Please can I have a go as manager I am sure my team would have done a better job than the team that played yesterday

@Dripsey3 If he can't beat the full back of a basement team, I fear it is the latter

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Minstermen (A)
Colin's interview with Jamie...not a direct question on why he waited to 85th minute to make a change? Jamie's lack of action implies that he doesn't think the subs bench were good enough.... and Stanley and Snijders may well be best placed to tulip gazing back in the low countries. For peats sake

Ratings: Leigh Curtis NEP Piethagoram Carroll 6................ 4 An experienced keeper should not get caught in no mans land for their first Hewitt 6................ 4 Defensively weak, offered nothing going forward Mackenzie 7............ 4 Looking for a commanding and vocal centre half. Well we got neither Hollis 7....................5 Average Adams 7..................4 Caught static for their second. Expected better Noble 7................... 4 wasted wide, dead balls atrocious Smith 6................... 3 The invisible man.. Banton 5................. 3 Any better than Snijders? I don't think so Stead 7 .................. 5 Only forward threat Izzy 4......................3 Perhaps 3 legged as he falls over a lot How Leigh can deem some of those performances / marking acceptable?

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Minstermen (A)
Shambles. When 980 Notts supporters see that it's not working, so why wait 80 minutes for a change. Surprised that Izzy remained on his feet when being substituted. He embarrassed himself when falling over in penalty area. No heart to man up. Dead ball quality from Noble 1/10. Never looked capable of scoring. Trying to be positive but today, a team with no creative quality was found out. A wasted journey. #Stanley In

The trouble is most refs are wise to McLeod's falling over antics. He does himself no favours and he should try to stay on his feet to score.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Minstermen (A)
@notts-joe I worry about Izzy's work rate... Hughes was always looking to aggressively chase down defenders in possession. Izzy is quite lazy in that regard, hence I would prefer to play with Stead as the one up leading the line. Looking forward to seeing a good match tomorrow

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Minstermen (A)
Expect team tomorrow to line up as: Carroll Hewitt MacKenzie Hollis Adams Atkinson Curtis Noble Campbell Stead Izzy Piethagoram's creative side: Loach Hewitt MacKenzie Hollis Adams Atkinson Curtis Noble Stanley Valencic Stead Yes, I know Izzy isnt included but he only scores at home

Notts County legend Les Bradd compares Jamie Fullarton to Jimmy Sirrel
a Sirrel quote..."if you learn something from every game, there should come a time when you should never lose"

Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
@Elite_pie One thing that seems to get overlooked is that Stanley can deliver from dead balls. Campbell is full of running and covers an immense lot of ground but the final end product is simply not there

Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
@ohstanleyaborah I will be pleasantly surprised if Stanley is in the starting line up or even on the bench..Hope we don't have to ask for a "watching paint dry icon / button" for a non creative team

Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
Expect team tomorrow to line up as: Carroll Atkinson MacKenzie Hollis Adams Bennet Curtis Noble Campbell Stead Izzy But Piethagoram's gung ho, lets entertain the crowd line up should be: Loach Atkinson MacKenzie Hollis Adams / Milsom Curtis Noble Aborah Valencic Stead Izzy

Players disappointed to see leave Notts
Ian Bolton, left for Watford.. Needham and Masson more famously, Martyn Busby returning to QPR undervalued... Paul Barnes, Rob Matthews, Anders Jacobsen, probably our best centre half this millenium. Craig Short Dean Yates (again seriously undervalued), Draper and Tommy J,

Jamie Fullarton describes former defender Gill Swerts as a "gentleman"
I am with Gil on this "didn't agree with the decision".. I would always prefer Gil to Smith...but in the overall scheme of things, we are overloaded with "decent" midfielders, so one can see for economic reasons, it may be the fairest way for both parties

Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
@notts-joe I am still questioning Jamie's mindset over Valencic. The one spark of creativity at Crawley and has not featured playing since. The danger is that he goes with Smith as one of his substitutes at home and not giving us a chance of making a creative change, if we need to Edit... I am still of the opinion we need to let the opposition worry about us at home in an offensive attacking sense rather than set up to just nullify the away team.
-
Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
@notts-joe I am not advocating tinkering that much, but to at least have a midfield berth for either Valencic Aborah or Snijders
-
Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
@Dripsey3 The set ups away from home may not be entirely applicable to what we need at home. I hope Jamie now recognises this and includes some creative flair like Valencic, Stanley or Snijders.
