  1. Aidan Stone deserved the clean sheet, and I'm pleased he has achieved it. The team's performance was commendable, as we maintained control of the game in both halves. Macaulay Langstaff displayed great effort, although he could have possibly scored another goal. Although their goalkeeper made some impressive saves, it wasn't sufficient to change the outcome. Our team is showing great promise and performing exceptionally well.
  2. Salford can be a strong team if given the opportunity to take control of the game or capitalise on chances. However, if not given these opportunities, they tend to be rather ordinary. At their current skill level, they aren't quite ready for League One, so I view them more as a potential contender for the playoffs, and ideally a team that Notts should be able to beat. Nevertheless, football can be unpredictable, and since they're playing at home, it could really go either way on the day.
  3. Notts performed well enough to win, it wasn't a fluke or due to opposition being poor. Accrington Stanley played well with their own right and made a game of it, they were organised and determined, and they created some chances. I felt disappointed when they scored because I honestly didn't think they would and it was a poor goal from our perspective to concede. They exploited our weakness in defence, and they took advantage of our lapse in concentration. They did well to get the goal, but I do think they settled at that point for a draw. They did not push for a second goal, and they seemed happy with a point.
  4. I believe that we all have the ability to persevere, even if the outcome is not in our favour. Itโ€™s not a failure if you can move forward. I concur that some football fans can be excessively critical, but thankfully, such behaviour is not exhibited here. While I admit to being critical at times, I believe that it can be constructive and positive, as long as it is done with sincerity and in a healthy manner.
  5. The current form of both teams is impressive, and they have a lot at stake if they do not emerge victorious. Notts must exercise caution and dictate the tempo of the game. Accrington is a formidable opponent, but so are we. I have a premonition that the match will end in a draw.
  6. Luke Williams has got the players to lift themselves, we can be more creative and that will help with chances on goal. I agree with his statement, it makes sense and I am thankful for the acknowledgement of support during games.
  7. Luke speaks so well that I feel confident in his ability and am looking forward to the new season. It was good to play Forest in a pre-season friendly. Notts did very well considering their squad depth.
  8. I don't know much about how the youth setup works, but I appreciate the work that goes into it but I do think the youth leagues should reflect the teams final finishing position rather than the main teams situation.
  9. It's not just tap ins, he's got a good finish but I do agree with how Notts plays when in control that he gets plenty of chances. I am looking forward to tomorrow and Forest, those should be good friendlies.
  10. Luke says how he sees things and does well to keep us informed, I think the way he relates to us is similar to how he connects with the players. It's level sign of respect.
  11. I seriously can't wait to see how Williams' philosophy and hard work reflects in the performance of our team on the pitch. The man seems to have a clear vision for success.
  12. I thought that Will Randall played as a midfielder and on the wing. However, I know that he may end up as a full back for us. As for me, I voted for Jodi Jones, so itโ€™s a bit late now.
  13. I was worried at first, but it has been a good time in the National League. I was 8 years old, almost 9 when we went down and it was very upsetting. However, that experience has turned out to be a positive thing because we have been much better off with our Danish owners.
  14. Yes! Dan Crowley will be a fantastic signing. Heโ€™s amazing!
  15. Jim Oโ€™Brien has been a key part of our fight for promotion to the football league. Everyone wants a player like him who will give his all and show the passion that was missing from most of the squad when Notts was relegated. Our team has been much better with him in it. It will be sad when he retires, but that day will come. Iโ€™m just grateful heโ€™s been part of our history.
  16. From what I remember, Notts havenโ€™t been performing that well under other owners, not consistently. But now, the club is being run properly. Itโ€™s almost like a dream come true, but itโ€™s really happening.
  17. I was getting worried that he might not join. I didn't think he would join Stockport. But I was thinking about a league one team going for him. Like Carlisle, since it's closer to where Kyle Cameron is from. I'm happy he renewed.
  18. I like Jim. Sometimes we lose players after a few years, but we managed to keep Jim. I think heโ€™s more than just a backup player. I would play him sometimes, but it will be hard with John Bostock. Maybe on the left or as an attacking player like Ruben?
  19. Heโ€™s really good at playing and could have a shot at big tournaments with any other country, but he this is not the case. I hope he gets to play for Malta someday in the Euro's. Iโ€™ll be watching tomorrow!
  20. I believe he has the potential to be a good coach and possibly even a successful manager. He is always considerate of others and knows how to motivate and uplift them. If you watch the videos about Wembley, you can see how supportive he was to everyone. I appreciate this aspect of his approach, but I also think he is a valuable member of the squad.
  21. I would appreciate the acquisition of a youthful defender with exceptional agility, preferably one who can efficiently perform in the left-wing position as well.
  22. I'm really happy about the outcome, as I was quite anxious that he might be lured away from Notts. It's possible that if another club had offered him a more significant salary and guaranteed his starting position, it might have been enough to secure his commitment. I don't mean to say that Jodi Jones is solely focused on monetary gains, but a higher league, better wages, and increased assurance of playing time can be quite influential, I believe. In my opinion, this is the best signing we'll make before the new season commences, and it's not a negative thing at all! I have no doubt that any additional players joining will be of high calibre, but Jodi Jones is truly exceptional.
  23. I'm not sure if it's possible, but I worry that the players might not be as kind or friendly as we progress further. It would be brilliant to see Notts playing in the Championship, no doubt. Perhaps even one day in the Premier League, but I'd hate for us to lose the wonderful family club atmosphere that we all like.
  24. I like watching the vlogs, best ones for Notts.
  25. I hope the officials perform well. The National League should have made decisions based on their performances, but even then, things can go wrong. It's challenging for them to make all the right calls. I just hope they make any important ones carefully.
