  1. Hello, @Michelle Evans. Welcome to PON.
  2. I don't have time for it either, I dislike how people go on about Kens and Karens. I would hate Ken to be my name, knowing people are itching to say it.
  3. Post-match interviews are part of football, players can do their talking on the pitch. Macaulay Langstaff did this himself after his pre-match comments, but to only do them when we win, I can understand why more people are against them not being done. You have to trust professional players would do the right thing, and since it's been the players failing to apply themselves it would be nice to listen to their thoughts. It can paint a different picture, but stopping during a bad spell isn't good or respectful to the fans.
  4. I don't know much about it, my parents have talked about it and I have seen it mentioned before. I don't know much else aside from that, what division do Italian teams enter? Serie B and C?
  5. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Robbie__64. It's great to see a new member joining in so easily.
  6. If you look outside of our fan base, Notts are still being praised, and although some are pointing out the awful defending, most say this is the price of transition back into the football league. Maybe some of it is self-doubt, a lack of confidence within individuals, and maybe some teams have just deserved the results more. I know we can get frustrated, but look how far we have come. The recruitment will fix the defence, and Luke Williams will then get us back on track. Provided we stay up, why lose our heads over a poor run of results?
  7. I still don't think we've seen enough from him, but now that we've signed him, it's all the more important to get it out of Lewis Macari. He's a good player, but I don't think we've seen enough to say anything more than that he's promising.
  8. I don't know why we've become so predictable and easy to defeat. Most of the games we've lost, we could have won or drawn if we had defended better. It's disappointing, but trust Luke Williams.
  9. I didn't like seeing Luke Williams' response, how he lost his voice or seemed to be defeated in pain. The players need to jump into brick walls for him. Defensively, they need to make us prouder. They can do it if they keep their heads and make the right decisions.
  10. Interesting to see Williams point out the fear factor in our lads. The tough love from our head coach might be exactly what we need to face future challenges. Wimbledon was a tough opponent, but our boys need to stand their ground.
  11. I couldn't agree more about Aaron Nemane's performance in the first half. Top-notch, without a doubt. You can see the confidence in his play.
  12. I'm too young to drink, and I still have a few years to go before I reach that age. However, I believe that young fans of my age and even younger are often overlooked. It's great that efforts are being made to enhance the sale of food and drinks, but it would be nice to have better snacks and sweets in general.
  13. I don't enjoy standing at games because I can't see over the heads of older people, and I find it inconsiderate when people do so knowing that it will block someone's view. I fully support the idea that anyone standing should be asked to sit down, so having a designated area for them would improve the situation.
  14. I won't be able to attend the game, but I plan to keep an eye out for updates. I'm optimistic that Notts can secure a strong victory away from home. Earning three points would be great for moving us up the table, but I don't know much about Wimbledon. They could pose a challenge, or we might not perform at our best.
  15. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, you should like it here @Max Roberts.
  16. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, you should like it here @Laura Griffin.
  17. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, you should like it here @Ryan Raynor.
  18. @menzinho That's a valid point, I had forgotten about Baj. He seemed to be improving in his position, and while I have great admiration for Jim O'Brien, he doesn't possess the same playing style as them. I'm not implying that Jim isn't deserving of a starting position, but there is a suitable time and place for it. In my opinion, Colchester wasn't that team.
  19. @DangerousSausage Considering how both teams possess the ability to score effortlessly, I believe a 3-3 draw is more probable. However, it depends on whether the players can comprehend the situation. I think we will be more motivated for the game. If Luke Williams doesn't address the players with a statement like, "You are at the top of the league for a reason. The pressure will always be on your shoulders, but it's crucial to respond and handle it. Stay focused, work hard, and enjoy the game. The only thing that can prevent us from winning is failing to take responsibility when necessary. You are capable of achieving this." Or something along those lines.
  20. Credit should be given to them, as football is a challenging industry, and it doesn't appear that their chairman is evading or refusing to settle the expenses. It simply seems like he is facing difficulties in generating funds, unlike our previous two owners who were reluctant to make payments.
  21. Hello, @Niederbayern Pie. Welcome to PON. Glad you're here.
  22. Hello, @Middlesex Magpie. Welcome to PON. Have a laugh and join in.
  23. Hello, @Morten Johansen. PON is mixed from young to older, you don't need to be an expert on Notts either. None of us are. ????
  24. I believe we should take a moment to reflect on our defensive performance. There are times when we don't appear to be strong in that area, whether it's due to a lack of focus or other factors. It's crucial that we acquire another centre-back who can bolster our defense instead of bringing in loan players who won't see much playing time. I'm confident that this was just one of those games and that we can bounce back.
  25. Luke Williams understands! Hopefully, everything goes according to plan, and our team makes us proud. Colchester won't be an easy opponent, as not many teams are, but we have to believe that we are capable enough to maintain our strong start. It all boils down to effective game management.
