  1. Itโ€™s encouraging to see Williams show confidence in his team, and his mixed feelings are completely understandable. Pre-season games are hardly an accurate measure of future performance, but they can highlight areas that need improvement. Looking forward to watching this team grow throughout the season.
  2. A tough act to follow, indeed. Charlieโ€™s passion and dedication will be sorely missed.
  3. Thrilled to see Tobi back! Amazing how heโ€™s fought back and returned stronger and more motivated. The excitement in his voice resonates with us fans too. Here's to more inspired play from Tobi and the rest of Notts County!
  4. Great read! It's great to see Williams taking responsibility and looking for growth. Onward and upward!
  5. Williams' proactive approach to team building is encouraging. His focus on player morale is invaluable as it fosters the positive culture the team needs to thrive. This makes me hopeful that Notts will not only succeed on the pitch, but also cultivate a respectful and inclusive environment off the pitch.
  6. The past season has unambiguously proven the impact Nemane can have on a match. His tenacity makes him an asset in both offensive and defensive roles. Further, his constant readiness to adapt to the needs of the team underlines his importance in the squad, strengthening our faith in the decision to extend his contract.
  7. The addition of McGoldrick and Crowley to the squad is a strategic move by Williams. McGoldrick's "incredible quality" and commanding "aura" adds a layer of leadership and depth to the team that may add the necessary guiding force the young players need. Crowley, with his knack for different positions, brings versatility to the squad. Exciting times ahead!
  8. Mick Vinter's story of success resonates on many levels. It is not just about football, it is about perseverance, dedication, and the passion for the sport that he loved.
  9. I also think it's great that Nigel's love for Notts County has impacted his life so positively, even with missing important events to watch games.
  10. I agree with else before me, it does feel like a good dream. The Reedtz Brothers have brought stability, good management, and progress to the club. It's refreshing to have ownership that is both silent and effective.
  11. Itโ€™s interesting to hear Jim speak about Luke Williams. I think when you trust players and provide good information that allows players to improve their game, it creates that sort of bond. I would like to see Luke be a bit more hands-on with young players. Notts should be making the most of this department and I personally think Jim Oโ€™Brien could help with this. He has been super since signing for the club.
  12. It does look to be a good signing for Oxford United but potentially a mistake on Rubenโ€™s part. I hope they can get the best out of him and he can make his dream move at the peak of his career, but I donโ€™t see it being so merry. I can see him dragging out his contract wishing he had signed elsewhere.
  13. Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk? I joined because I noticed a difference in the quality of articles returned and the quality of discussions just seemed refreshing, so I took the plunge, as they say. I think itโ€™s a very good site. I usually just read to avoid the bother, but this place seems like the real deal. What is your main highlight of being a member? So far, I would say the sheer number of friendly people that welcomed me was a nice touch and a sign that I had made the right decision to join. How much have you seen PoN grow during your time? As someone who has mostly read the site, Iโ€™ve noticed that there have been spells where things are busy and then it drops off. The site will have those times, but the last few months have been very encouraging, I feel. More fans should get involved; I believe this. As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why? Friendliness, quality and discussions. Thereโ€™s a bit of everything, but how friendly people are and how they can share their own opinions without resorting to name-calling or arguing is really good. I would say itโ€™s well-run, excellently moderated and stands by its principles.
  14. Itโ€™s great that McGoldrick will have the support of his family at many games this season. Family is important and it must be special for him to share this experience with them.
