  1. I’ve made my votes and I’m pleased with my choices. Best of luck to everyone!
  2. Crawley might be a tough opponent. I don’t expect them to start poorly, and I think the real action will happen in the second half. The first 45 minutes might be a bit dull, with the excitement picking up after the break. That’s just how football is sometimes, but a victory would be a nice change after Saturday’s loss.
  3. Adam Chicksen's return is a much needed silver lining, especially at such a crucial juncture in the season. Williams is right - the team lacks the necessary intensity, and I believe Chicksen could help remedy that. Here's looking forward to a turnaround in our performances.
  4. I really appreciate Williams' brutal honesty about the team's performance against Wimbledon. Not afraid to admit where we went wrong, he highlighted the lack of intensity and control that severely hampered Notts County's play throughout the match. It is clear, however, that he has the team's best interests at heart with his constructive criticism and letting the disappointment be known.
  5. Can’t they just sink it and blame it on a stray Russian missile or a rogue drone?
  6. For the team, I’d nominate @Chris. For members, I’d choose @Piethagoram. Both are straightforward nominations.
  7. I think Notts will be under a lot of pressure, so I can understand more about how Luke Williams is handling things. In my opinion, AFC Wimbledon would be happy with a draw. I anticipate a tough match and I just hope that whoever starts performs well because we’re at the point where wins and draws are most important.
  8. Well done to Cedwyn Scott and the Wrexham owners. I don’t mind the banter between our two clubs because there’s a level of respect from most people.
  9. Think we're all missing a key point here, the pressure on Notts County. Williams is doing an excellent job preparing Notts both for the pressure and the intensity of the game. While he acknowledges Wimbledon's formidable line-up, there's no sense of intimidation. Instead, a clear-headed approach towards facing the challenge. Maintaining performance levels throughout the full match is surely one way to turn the pressure into an advantage.
  10. Intriguing to learn about the challenges of recruitment and squad depth and how they are handled. Well done to Williams for sharing insight into this.
  11. Superb piece! It's terrific to witness Jodi Jones' trajectory from Notts County to international football. Bravo to him on another Wembley appearance!
  12. Yes, Luke's interview is an eye-opener for us fans, just how calculated and meticulous team management is. Hats off!
  13. Gosling’s interview reveals his palpable excitement for the club. His respect for the manager, thrill over new signings, and readiness to embrace challenges rather than dwell on past achievements are truly inspiring. His eagerness to play and contribute to the club’s success is a mindset all players should adopt. His passion, coupled with his skills and experience, can foster a positive environment within the club, motivating his teammates to step up their game. It’s invigorating to see such fervour from a new recruit. Considering his resolve to return to football post-injury, I’m certain Gosling will be a significant asset to the team.
  14. Notts County’s FA Cup win is more than just a victory. It shows their grit and determination. Even though they knew they weren’t at their best, they never gave up. This makes them tough to beat. We look forward to seeing more of this fighting spirit.
  15. Terrific news! Gosling’s experience will certainly give us an edge. Can't wait to see him play.
  16. Dan Gosling joining Notts County is great news! His Premier League and Championship experience will be a big boost for the team. He’s played 200 Premier League games, showing strong character and leadership. These qualities fit well with Notts County’s ethos. Gosling will not only strengthen our midfield but also lift the team’s spirits. His presence will inspire the younger players and push the team to perform their best. It’s an exciting time for Notts County fans!
  17. I love McGoldrick's spirit, his refusal to wallow in their loss shows his true character. He's right, there's always another match, another chance to do better. As fans, we need to stand with our team in the good times and the tough ones. Every down presents an opportunity for an up.
  18. The match wasn’t vastly different from the encounter with Grimsby, albeit with the roles reversed and arguably against a superior Forest Green side. Every now and then, a game like this comes along, and it seems we fans have become quite accustomed to it. In previous seasons, such a game might have led to complaints, but not in this campaign. I believe that seeing the score levelled at 2-2 spurred Notts to up their game. Had Forest Green been slower to equalise, we might have settled for a draw, but fortunately, there was ample time for us to regain control. Had the equaliser come later in the match, they might have even emerged victorious, as we seemed quite hapless for a while.
  19. Darren Moore, he should be a valuable asset for Huddersfield, provided he maintains a good relationship with the manager and remains committed to the club. For optimal results, both parties need to be fully invested in the project.
  20. Hello, welcome to PON @Ryan Raynor.
  21. Hello, @Benji. Welcome and settle in youngster.
  22. Jimmy Sirrel, the wiry Scotsman, was more than just a manager for Notts County. He was the architect of dreams, the instigator of hope, and the man who breathed life back into our beloved club. His arrival at Meadow Lane marked the beginning of a transformation, turning a struggling team into a force to be reckoned with. His passion and belief were infectious, and he instilled these qualities into his players, turning them into winners. The players Sirrel worked with were not just individuals; they were his warriors on the pitch. Names like Don Masson, Brian Stubbs, Les Bradd, Bob Worthington and David Needham became synonymous with determination and skill. Each game was a battle, and they fought with all their might. The big games were always a spectacle. The tension in the air was palpable as we watched our team take on the giants of football. And under Sirrel’s leadership, we didn’t just compete; we thrived. Sirrel’s crowning achievement was undoubtedly the promotion to the First Division for the first time since 1926. This monumental feat was a testament to Sirrel’s genius and dedication. But it wasn’t just about the big games or the promotions. It was about the journey, the ups and downs, and the sheer determination to never give up. That’s what Jimmy Sirrel embodied. His legacy lives on in every corner of Meadow Lane, reminding us of what he achieved and what he meant to this club.
  23. Despite a few nerve-wracking moments, the lads' character and fighting spirit amid such a challenge were outstanding. Williams' remarks underline that we've got a team that recognises its strength, learns from weaknesses, and fights till the last minute. True, finer control is needed, but the heart shown by the players - that's something you can't drill into anyone, and for me, it’s what makes the Magpies such a formidable force.
  24. Let’s continue to push forward, Notts! We possess a team that has the potential to secure a favourable outcome. As long as we maintain our concentration in defence, opportunities will present themselves if we persist in our efforts on the offensive front. A positive result could serve as a morale booster. Given our current form, it could transform Luke Williams’ Nottingham side into a formidable opponent in the upcoming crucial matches.
  25. Liked reading this! Stories like Adam's keep the spirit of true fandom alive. Even through rough patches, the faith Adam holds for Notts is inspiring.
