  1. Yes, Luke's interview is an eye-opener for us fans, just how calculated and meticulous team management is. Hats off!
  2. Gosling’s interview reveals his palpable excitement for the club. His respect for the manager, thrill over new signings, and readiness to embrace challenges rather than dwell on past achievements are truly inspiring. His eagerness to play and contribute to the club’s success is a mindset all players should adopt. His passion, coupled with his skills and experience, can foster a positive environment within the club, motivating his teammates to step up their game. It’s invigorating to see such fervour from a new recruit. Considering his resolve to return to football post-injury, I’m certain Gosling will be a significant asset to the team.
  3. Notts County’s FA Cup win is more than just a victory. It shows their grit and determination. Even though they knew they weren’t at their best, they never gave up. This makes them tough to beat. We look forward to seeing more of this fighting spirit.
  4. Terrific news! Gosling’s experience will certainly give us an edge. Can't wait to see him play.
  5. Dan Gosling joining Notts County is great news! His Premier League and Championship experience will be a big boost for the team. He’s played 200 Premier League games, showing strong character and leadership. These qualities fit well with Notts County’s ethos. Gosling will not only strengthen our midfield but also lift the team’s spirits. His presence will inspire the younger players and push the team to perform their best. It’s an exciting time for Notts County fans!
  6. I love McGoldrick's spirit, his refusal to wallow in their loss shows his true character. He's right, there's always another match, another chance to do better. As fans, we need to stand with our team in the good times and the tough ones. Every down presents an opportunity for an up.
  7. The match wasn’t vastly different from the encounter with Grimsby, albeit with the roles reversed and arguably against a superior Forest Green side. Every now and then, a game like this comes along, and it seems we fans have become quite accustomed to it. In previous seasons, such a game might have led to complaints, but not in this campaign. I believe that seeing the score levelled at 2-2 spurred Notts to up their game. Had Forest Green been slower to equalise, we might have settled for a draw, but fortunately, there was ample time for us to regain control. Had the equaliser come later in the match, they might have even emerged victorious, as we seemed quite hapless for a while.
  8. Darren Moore, he should be a valuable asset for Huddersfield, provided he maintains a good relationship with the manager and remains committed to the club. For optimal results, both parties need to be fully invested in the project.
  9. The ongoing social media spat between Connell and Tom is indeed intriguing, though it does seem rather juvenile. This is not intended as a slight against Tom, the fan involved. Regrettably, Connell Rawlinson was unable to restrain himself, which likely stems from his passion and disappointment. However, this doesn’t excuse his ill-advised tweet. While it’s understandable that he reacted to an offensive comment, his response does come across as petty and unnecessary, which is the real letdown. It’s also worth noting that the ensuing discussion here is far more productive than the unwarranted verbal attacks on Rawlinson by some individuals. Such behaviour is equally unacceptable.
  10. Hello, welcome to PON @Ryan Raynor.
  11. Hello, @Benji. Welcome and settle in youngster.
  12. Jimmy Sirrel, the wiry Scotsman, was more than just a manager for Notts County. He was the architect of dreams, the instigator of hope, and the man who breathed life back into our beloved club. His arrival at Meadow Lane marked the beginning of a transformation, turning a struggling team into a force to be reckoned with. His passion and belief were infectious, and he instilled these qualities into his players, turning them into winners. The players Sirrel worked with were not just individuals; they were his warriors on the pitch. Names like Don Masson, Brian Stubbs, Les Bradd, Bob Worthington and David Needham became synonymous with determination and skill. Each game was a battle, and they fought with all their might. The big games were always a spectacle. The tension in the air was palpable as we watched our team take on the giants of football. And under Sirrel’s leadership, we didn’t just compete; we thrived. Sirrel’s crowning achievement was undoubtedly the promotion to the First Division for the first time since 1926. This monumental feat was a testament to Sirrel’s genius and dedication. But it wasn’t just about the big games or the promotions. It was about the journey, the ups and downs, and the sheer determination to never give up. That’s what Jimmy Sirrel embodied. His legacy lives on in every corner of Meadow Lane, reminding us of what he achieved and what he meant to this club.
  13. Despite a few nerve-wracking moments, the lads' character and fighting spirit amid such a challenge were outstanding. Williams' remarks underline that we've got a team that recognises its strength, learns from weaknesses, and fights till the last minute. True, finer control is needed, but the heart shown by the players - that's something you can't drill into anyone, and for me, it’s what makes the Magpies such a formidable force.
  14. Let’s continue to push forward, Notts! We possess a team that has the potential to secure a favourable outcome. As long as we maintain our concentration in defence, opportunities will present themselves if we persist in our efforts on the offensive front. A positive result could serve as a morale booster. Given our current form, it could transform Luke Williams’ Nottingham side into a formidable opponent in the upcoming crucial matches.
  15. Liked reading this! Stories like Adam's keep the spirit of true fandom alive. Even through rough patches, the faith Adam holds for Notts is inspiring.
  16. Outstanding to witness a manager making such a significant difference. Williams' tactical acumen has undoubtedly turned Notts into a formidable team. The blend of youth and experience, along with the emphasis on teamwork, gives me great hope for the forthcoming fixtures. I sincerely believe that under Williams' leadership, Notts' future in the beautiful game is bright.
  17. I hope the good attendances at home continue, but I do hope the club implements ways for fans to navigate their way in and out of the stands. It gets far too packed with 10k when everyone walks out so slowly, it almost makes me miss the days when people fled at their quickest walking speed. Yet, I really do hope the 10k continues. It’s great for our old ground.
  18. Please, whatever happens, just express your pride in seeing Notts doing so well and encourage our form to continue in a way that we might enjoy further celebrations of going top. Notts having this success is vital for the club to move forward, no matter how difficult MK Dons are. If their fans are right, they’re lucky to be 2nd. I hope we can show them why we went above them. COYP
  19. Wow, I am saddened by this. I have only just come across this news. Fly high Ian Hamilton.
  20. The result was a very good victory for Notts. I prefer to listen to Luke Williams’ points on the game rather than John Coleman’s take. Williams comes across as very complimentary and gracious towards Accrington. Coleman reacted like a manager under pressure; I wonder if he was holding a book of managerial excuses. Notts played very well and were very entertaining. Accrington tried, to their credit, but simply weren’t good enough. They should do well, but they lack the quality we have. 3-1, great result. We could have easily had 6; Accrington, if they had better finishing, could have had a few more too.
  21. Williams' understanding of the game's dynamics and swift decision making deserve every bit of credit for placing us on top. Not to forget Aiden Stone’s consistent performance between the sticks. His sterling saves were a key factor in the win. Top teamwork all round.
  22. Jodie Jones will be pleased with the news. I’m sure he wouldn’t have minded if it hadn’t been attributed to him, but now that it has, well, that’s a different matter. That makes two for him.
  23. Hello, @Sir Magpie. Sirrel's County welcomes you to PON.
  24. Welcome @NorthPie, join in when you can and have fun.
  25. I appreciate Luke Williams' emphasis on focus. It's testament to his approach as a manager that he sees the undercover positives even in the less welcomely apparent elements of the game - like reminding the team of the distress of letting down fans to keep their focus razor sharp. In my opinion, this approach will serve Notts County well.
