  1. Hello, @Michael Bramley. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! You don't have to be an active Notts fan to be involved, just share your thoughts to what you think. You would be surprised just how much taking part could get you up to speed with Notts. We are a friendly group. When you can, my guide to the site might help you settle in further.
  2. Hello, @arb. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. I know there is a lot going on with the site, but when you settle please take a read of this guide.
  3. @Fan of Big Tone, no worries. You are away but thank you for still helping. We'll need to make sure others within the team can look out for this as it would provide a better experience for members. As a team, we all should be chipping in when others are away or something needs help.
  4. Sorry, I have been busy with work and somehow I overlooked this. I will pass the information onto Chris for him to look into the server issues. Thanks, Robbie. Thanks Tone. Was there an exact error or code? Just so I can assist Chris better.
  5. Port Vale will be a tough game with them making a push to sustain a playoff push. I don't know much about their squad or its depth. Vale can be a team that does well, but I think it will come down to how Notts manage to perform away from home. Start brightly, assert a strong hold on the midfield play and defensively start well. Then I think Notts would be more focused on being creative. Having a brief look at Vale's results, it does look like they struggle at times defensively but I am reminded that the same can be said about us despite a strong focus towards defending. I think it will be a big game for the likes of Alex Bass and Alassana Jatta, respectively. Notts taking the lead would force the game to be played open but conceding could come if a sluggish start is made. Both teams could very well cancel each other out. A lot has changed since our last encounter with them, but it will be difficult.
  6. I have featured the topic. I will speak to the team to try to make sure this happens sooner, and in a moment, I will update the news ticker. The gaffer, @Chris, is travelling with his family to a concert, so he won't be around. I have voted for Charlie Whitaker. I think George Abbott is offering him guidance into settling, and the whole squad seems to be supporting him. Whitaker played very well yesterday; he's growing in his role nicely.
  7. I know, the gaffer [@Chris] has spoken to the team about making videos of two features I am going to follow up with in this guide. However, I believe they are valuable for making the Pride of Nottingham your go-to site to discuss Notts County. Firstly: Some might think there are too many forums, but we prefer things to be organised. Allowing members to post content in the right place creates a better user experience. You can participate in any forum this way and avoid the topics you don't want to see. Let me show you a feature that seems to be overlooked. If you visit the community forums page, a short scroll down will allow you to choose how you want the index page to look. Members who want all the topics in one easy-to-view layout can simply toggle the default view. Here's a quick demonstration on how to do it. This opens a forums option in the sidebar, where you can toggle off forums if you wish to remove those topics from showing. This is just outside of view to the right [It is there though]. Go check it out! Additionally, Chris has created a hub for visitors called the 'Dashboard'. This gives a quick overview of all the content, from articles, forum topics, blogs, statuses, moods, etc. Scroll down, and you will see a widget titled "Latest Discussions". To the right, you will see a cog where you can further customise this block by limiting which forums you wish to see posts from. Here's how to do it. Now you will see two easy-to-use ways that can personalise your browsing experience on the Pride of Nottingham. As a devoted fan site for Notts County, we value your involvement and encourage all fans to get on board. As you will see, a lot of effort goes into the site from the admin team, moderators, writers, and members. In the next post, I will guide members through their settings and profile setup to ensure the best possible experience.
  8. The Welsh League Cup, with teams from outside the Welsh Leagues but are Welsh playing in England. I don't get the point of the competition. It would put them at risk of losing to teams with EFL funding, which does not compare to the money the Welsh league brings in. If a competition has a disadvantage like this, it doesn't make sense.
  9. I can't see @Robbie's post, but I assumed Aidan Stone had signed for someone, and he has. He's joined Yeovil Town, which is a good move for him, I feel.
  10. I am confused as to why they even spent money on appointing a manager who was already in management. Although he probably would have been sacked by now if he was still at MK Dons, it makes me wonder if Carlisle are not just panicking due to the results. It's going to be hard for them to steer themselves to safety; a new manager will basically have to start again.
  11. I do agree, it is a shame that Junior Morias is very unlikely to feature again for Notts. I am not sure what to make of the club's recent habit of signing players, playing them a few times, and then discarding them even when there is a reason to keep them around. The hype we had from signing him leading into the Play-Offs, for him not to be featured and ruled out as injured to only getting some minutes. It makes the signing very wasteful, especially since the club paid money. Surely we didn't sign him to prevent his signature being captured elsewhere and give us more momentum? I don't know, I could be wrong, and Notts might give him a chance, but a number of players have been shown the door under contract just to be pushed out. Adam Chicksen, Aidan Stone, Will Randall, etc.
  12. This signing looks to be both intriguing and promising. Although his record might not match Jatta's, I can see potential in him. He’s definitely a player I believe Notts can develop further. If he’s as quick as they say, it would certainly intimidate League Two defenders, as well as those in higher leagues. Being at the right age to be nurtured and encouraged, I believe he’ll make a significant impact. It's great to see the club exploring talent outside the EFL. I have no doubt Notts fans will warmly welcome him from day one. I am eager to see Mai Traore on the field and representing the club in a Notts shirt.
  13. He's right to praise David McGoldrick, he's been a revolution this season. By himself, he has changed the outcome of games and has been one of the most consistent players throughout the 2024-25 League Two campaign. It's great to see him doing so well because when a player returns to the teams they started with, just like Michael Johnson did in the 2000s, it brings everyone just that bit closer. Didzy is incredible, and I wouldn't rule him out of playing some part next year, depending on if it works for us and him.
  14. This seems like a very interesting and exciting signing. His record might not be comparable to Jatta, but I can see a player in the making. He's certainly someone I can see Notts bringing more out of, and if it's true he's very quick, that alone would scare League Two defenders, as it would higher up. He's at the right age to be encouraged to shine, so I believe he will be a hit. No doubt Notts fans will make him feel welcome from day one. It's good to see the club explore options outside the EFL, so I look forward to seeing Mai Traore on the pitch and in a Notts shirt.
  15. @menzinho I think playing overseas when you haven't quite established yourself within your own league system can be a daunting thing. Dan Crowley popped over to the Netherlands and found some success on his journey, and we are starting to see more Brits try it out. Curtis Edwards had that encounter which only happens once in a lifetime, and he took it not just with both hands but he put all his effort into it.

  17. Jacob Bedeau is a captain in the making. His focus on his teammates ahead of his own performance and his acknowledgement of Alex Bass show just how much stronger Notts have become for addressing the weaknesses in our previous squads. It gives a great foundation to go forward, but having players like Bedeau who are aiming for promotion, consistent performance, and enjoying football, all contribute to the success of the club itself.
  18. It's good to have Curtis Edwards back. He works well and doesn't have a problem injecting his energy into the game. He's a skilled player, who we are much better for having in the squad selection. When he performs at his best, he would easily be a name on the team sheet to start. That is how important he can be.
  19. Excellent result away from home against a team that is fighting for every point. There are no easy games in League Two, but when you play as Notts did yesterday, it does make it easier to ensure the points are picked up. David McGoldrick has become a solid part of the team this season. He is a major part of what makes us play well and maximises the points we pick up due to his superb presence.
  20. @menzinho this is a brilliant read, excellently written. It shows why fans should get behind Curtis Edwards like they have. He's down to earth and has worked hard to be where he is. Right now, he's in the prime of his career and is doing fantastically well for us. Notts capturing his signature has given us someone who can add depth in midfield. His background, having played overseas, offers something different to the standard player in League Two. Simply brilliant article!
  21. Keep the votes coming in everyone! The results are showing what is reflected in the comments, which is brilliant to see. I have voted for David McGoldrick. His stellar performance deserves to be rewarded with the Man of the Match. You might disagree, which is fine. Just vote and have your say respectfully!
  22. Awful defending, but we have to be mindful that he could be going through a difficult spell in his career. I wish him nothing but well wishes. We have moved on, and he will leave permanently at the end of the season. Still, I don't wish to see him struggle with poor form or anything mentally.
  23. I don't think we even have a first-year pro that is a striker. James Sanderson is a midfielder and has been part of the B team (whatever its official title is). Junior Morias is meant to be injured, so it would depend on how long he's out for, and the suspicious thing is why didn't Dagenham & Redbridge hold onto him if it was a short injury? Notts would have done better to recall him when he started scoring for fun. I do hope we bring in a striker just to give us more firepower. It took some time for Stuart Maynard to play both Jatta and David McGoldrick, but the issue with that is the lack of replacement if injuries occur. We are playing it a bit risky by relying on this, so I do hope Morias isn't out for long and we do bring in competition.
  24. I do acknowledge and prefer the openness beforehand, rather than some of these people who base what they say on supposed conversations. I wouldn't be surprised if all this isn't true, but I am one who prefers it to be official before speculating. I don't think we should expect much more activity as Stuart Maynard did say that he only expected one arrival. We have had three, one to replace Dan Crowley or to provide cover and another to shore up the defence. I suspect any other interest was in case Jatta was about to move on. Roll on the close of the transfer window so we can focus on the business end of the season.
  25. This would have been a delightful excuse to order in, had I known. Whatever anyone enjoys on their topping! Be grateful for the invention of such a wonderful dish. A dish you need not need anything, but your hands to eat it with!
