would it not be productive for awareness to include what abuse he was getting, am i being blind that both linked articles dont actually provide any references. it is very sad but i just think if you are going to go on public record, both stuart kettlewell and the club could address the issue directly by revealing the actual abuse. otherwise it could be that fans were just unhappy with the results and i am sure some went too far, that is not acceptable but imagine what it was like for jamie fullerton when he was here? i did not like him but there was a large amount of unacceptable abuse, i remember reading a fan saying he would hang him if he did not leave on facebook. 🤬

what about other clubs? i know there are local grants to help, i recall reading that with wrexham but just how much as the uk government spent on helping spurs, everton and the likes? manchester united should build it out of their owners money. i think its wrong to spend tax payers money on this type of stuff.

@menzinho i would say he fits the mould of our scouting system, with his age being 22 and how well he did at accrington. for a young striker, 5 goals in 17 games is not that bad. imagine what he could score within a more competitive squad, or the way we play.

with him having already played there and his experience in the efl, it makes perfect sense for him to become chesters captain. i am delighted for him. i hope hes enjoying his time there and managing to get back into wales more frequently than he did when he was here. it must be nice for him to be closer to his family.

well deserved due to his solid performance, the amount of man of the matches george abbott is picking up shows his class and importance.

i dont mind the performance, because carlisle made it difficult and it was almost a repeat of what happened in the second half earlier in the season away to them. the main thing is maintaining the form because this is what teams aiming for promotion do, it might not always be the best game but consistency in winning is the important takeaway. as for the officiating it sounds just like an excuse, nothing more.

i think we have treated him a bit unfairly, but its what it is and i wish him well. with his contract now being closer to expiring i assume it makes it cheaper and easier to mutually agree terms. i hope he manages to prove himself, hes not the worst keeper we have had.

i think we can rely on sam slocombe until the end of the season, no point signing another keeper imo. i would have rather seen stone kept as our back, because i think he could have shown improvements with our defence now. not that is dislike slocombe but hes at the end of his career now.

interesting to see that he would be out of contract, if we gain promotion and he does well where ever he ends up this season. He could be a worthwhile player to consider signing, he must have something about him to have attracted spurs, cardiff and now potentially bolton.

why did they not do something about it when they froze his money due to the war against ukraine?

jodi jones can play as a striker, he did for coventry city, and as an attacking central midfielder. with the quality we have out wide, i would be tempted to see if it can help settle jodi back in further. we might be forgetting that will jarvis could play as a striker, so we do have some cover but as i think jodi becomes a different player once he scores. i would consider him as an option. we have nick tsaroulla and kellan gordon who could come in for jones if he was to put up top. i am sure there might be other options if we really need it but i do agree, that its risky relying on someone who might be considered out of position.

its going to be an interesting trip to gillingham, they are a good team at this level and their season is no doubt has not gone to plan but they have some very good players. i think they invested in their team coming into this season, so i am not sure why they are struggle so much. they remind me a bit of what doncaster have been like previous seasons.

poor start but especially bad defending from kyle cameron. barrow should have started by getting the ball out wide, rather than passing back and cameron might not have been expecting it but he should have done much better.
