  1. good to see some of the top moments of 2023, going back to last season. lets push on and just try to overcome this wobble.
  2. Blackburn Rovers 2-2 Watford Plymouth Argyle 1-0 Birmingham City Carlisle United 2-1 Cheltenham Town Wycombe Wanderers 0-1 Port Vale Accrington Stanley 1-0 Walsall Grimsby Town 2-0 Harrogate Town joker Halifax Town 0-1 Rochdale Oldham Athletic 1-1 Gateshead
  3. i have noticed that the praise from our own media team has stopped because of the moaning. its a shame because its nice to see players praised rightly. i thought harrogate looked a good team. they must be a bit hit and miss to be in their position but hopefully with a new keeper they can push on.
  4. the whole idea needs to jog on, leave football alone. there are enough changes which are ruining the enjoyment without this.
  5. this is a great thing, i wonder how many ex footballers have been this selfless to start a charity that benefits others instead of their own greed.
  6. he needs to quarantine for two weeks at least, but at least hes free. i felt disappointed and i dont really care, my dad says its his final straw with forest. i think he will support notts more now. him and my uncle liked steve cooper, they were amazed by what he achieved and had started coming to more notts games due to the friendliness between our two clubs at that point.
  7. gavin strachan...
  8. hello, @StanfordPie. welcome to pon. we are a great community.
  9. i want an angry face as the second goal sealed the game and i felt very much deflated, i wanted to leave there and then. its not a feel i like but we put so much effort in and we cant even defend against a team we should have done better against. i loved jodi jones passion but everyone else it was missing.
  10. i remember when ah said things like this would be costly to perform and hard to do because of the efl rules. yet naming the food bars after himself and putting pictures of how tall he was compared to other characters was all fair. im glad because you can see some fans struggle at times.
  11. the national lampoons christmas vacation has become a favourite of mine over the years. i like silly movies quite a lot.
  12. i really like the darkness song dont let the bells end.
  13. similar to @Joshua, i want us to snap out of this feeling sorry for ourselves. notts needs to regroup and forget the previous fixtures, with christmas coming up we need to make every effort towards making it an enjoyable time. if we lose tomorrow, so be it but lets come back stronger and more determined.
  14. i think they are in special measures, its probably how steve cooper found out about them. poor school's being dragged down.
  15. great post @ARLukomski! the stats the efl mention probably suite the message they want people to believe because unless the game was captured fully, then who is to say they are correct or not? a foul could have been committed before one is given, so many times we see officials miss incidents. i dont think it sounds like sour grapes because i suspect it happens to every club except for wrexham. salford were dirty, i thought the officials in that game missed no end of incidents in their attempt to keep the game playing. quickly is was stopped when on the other foot but clubs like them get it due to their owners.
  16. beautiful! if only things like this could reach mad men and people who only want war as it could stop it otherwise. no words or peace treaty needed. let the music do it.
  17. its not a name i remember, its interesting to see his career being somewhat average but he has already found his way into management.
  18. thank you for sharing this tony, i am no poet but i can appreciate it.
  19. it took some time for him to feature, i like that luke williams wanted to bring him up to speed but now hes ours. we have all the more reason to be playing him, its the way he will improve and be able to contribute more towards notts. i think its a good signing and once he's back available, i hope to see him in the starting lineup. hopefully, he will score a few more goals before the season ends but his debut goal was a screamer!
  20. its going to be interesting to see how we do against a team in far better form. a good result could give us no end of confidence but on the other hand, a heavy defeat could cause further complications. i dont expect to win, so i think i would take a draw. hopefully the players are feeling more ambitious as our away games seems unlikely to see where the next win will come.
  21. i am happy to get the newsletters, my email might be already in the list but if it is not feel free to include it.
  22. probably there before he had the money but spiralled out of control when he had it. he was living the dream with his company and owning a football club, its crazy how things turn out.
  23. i will be spending christmas with my mum and then later on in the evening i will be visiting my dad. i dont really bother much with christmas, i buy presents etc but other than it feels like a normal day to me. i dont have much up in terms of decorations, just a tree.
  24. @Fan of Big Tone oh i have seen some and they tend to be the first people to complain too. notts are in a good position still, this is a testing time for luke williams but to be fair, its a good experience for him to learn from. other clubs fans wont be as invested as our own but even then we need to remember that when luke gets things to click, he is more than capable of taking us higher up. with him still learning, we need to worry then.
  25. i am not a fan of it either, it could be that people cant be bothered too or both. i think it would be useful to hear what the players have to say, maybe not always but to miss them simply because notts loses i think its a poor show of hands. i do think there is only so many questions and times you can ask them what went wrong but if there are good talking points a player should be spoken to regardless if we lose or not.
