  1. will evans join us? could it be that hes being lined up as macaulay langstaffs replacement. the thing i did at the start was on purpose. i think there is more to this all.
  2. @Piethagoram you have me worried that macca might be leaving. with will evans being reportedly seen at notts and a potenial bid of Β£2m for macaulay langstaff, it could open up a bidding war. i do think if other areas of the press like local papers to club start writing about him, then there might just be something in it.
  3. i think the new os site looks a lot more promising, i do think it needs to be less full screen with the content but its a lot better looking than most football sites. this includes some premier league teams.
  4. well said chris, its easier to not get behind him than it is it seems. he will have my full support whilst he is at notts. nothing else.
  5. so, pleased that hes near a return and that his recovery has gone well. also congratulations to him and his partner on getting engaged, doing that in new york city will have been a special memory. i cant wait to see him back on the pitch but only when hes 100%. hes one of the most consistent players we have had for years!
  6. i think the club has pulled off a great signing with the arrival of curtis edwards. he seems to tick all the boxes and he will offer us a lot with his experience of playing overseas. that must give him something about him.
  7. @Piethagoram thanks for sharing that.
  8. i hope every thing is okay with phil foden, he will be missed but life comes before football. i do wish its nothing serious.
  9. i can see the odds quickly changing so there is a good opportunity to make some good money if you dont mind betting on notts. personally i do not because it seems to be a jinx.
  10. matt palmer is a workhorse in midfield and goes about his role quietly but efficiently. he was a big miss last season, the best thing we can do is make sure hes 100% and ready to come back to the starting lineup, hes that important to avoid any set backs. much like when cedwyn scott returned.
  11. there is going to be quite a few changes, i want to wait to see what is updated but i will back on the road home and away supporting notts.
  12. the squad info i put on the first post has been updated with the arrivals of rod mcdonald and curtis edwards. we still have three transfer listed players, which if/when they go it would potentially open 3 more places. the squad shape is good. i dont think we need another keeper. i think a right footed cb would be a good idea. along with another midfielder who can play wide.
  13. i am not only excited about the season ahead for us, but everything that is happening on pon. we have a great community, with many regular posters and general members who make it such a fun site to be a part of. @Chris its great to have you back, your passion and love for the club is shinning. i am looking forward to reading more fan written articles, those always are of quality. @TheSkipper, @Simon Clark are excellent writers. not just then but everyone who has contributed to date.
  14. this is a nice surprise for a signing, someone vastly different but also experienced and that will make the opposition teams we face unsure about curtis edwards. plus he may bring in a different approach or style to his game, which will be a blessing because usually we have players who are very similar. i am delighted with this arrival.
  15. chesterfield are a weird club, they probably will have it as part of his signing on fee. one free holiday to spain...
  16. i did not rate him, i thought he looked lost on the pitch and never really did much with his time i felt frustrated because we could have given the game time to someone else who might have been productive. i hope hes improved a lot since his days here.
  17. he looks to be a great signing with a lot of experience and right characteristics which makes him very important for pushing for promotion. i think the media team might be over doing it a little, but no doubts its a great signing and i understand that they are after people to buy season tickets/excite us fans. i already am excited about the new season!
  18. it makes me even more prouder to be a notts fan, its truly stunning and all the work that has gone into it, i very much appreciate it.
  19. cedwyn scott and jodi jones should be able to help rod mcdonald settle at notts, he sounds like hes ready to get going and i think its a very good signing. the height in the defence now, should be we are better at dealing with set pieces and the aerial threats.
  20. i must admit i less bothered about watching england than notts, but i do like watching important games and i am hopeful they can put together a good performance. i will be watching.
  21. good player, decent turn of skill and pace. i prefer him as a striker than midfield but he has done well since leaving us.
  22. the club are probably trying to work on this, but i can see one or two going out on loan. randall and rawlinson, but i think we will be stuck with stone. they all need to be playing, rawlinson has done his job and will be remembered for all his efforts.
  23. i dont like how we seem to be pinning our hopes on luke shaw, i think its good that he was able to train but throwing him in at this stage it does seem to be rushing things. i think england will do better, but i dont expect a full 90 minutes of great play. 2-0 would be my prediction. i can see an own goal happening too, but fingers crossed england do a well enough job that things do start to improve.
  24. i think its just awful that dementia is still not fully understood but at least some changes have been made. i would not be surprised that it can lead or increase the chances of various dementia illnesses. i do agree with @Chris, suing over it is not right and i would think it can take away from a persons legacy due to the way things can take over. its just very, very sad.
