  1. i am pleased we have strengthen our defence and looking at the league two table, i dont think anyone will be clear runners for promotion or will run away with it. i think it will be quite open and exciting, so ideally we can perform well enough and get those wins needed to be at the top end.
  2. notts will need time defensively, i am sure most of our training sessions has had the defence in focus so that they can gain an understanding and work well. it is the biggest area from last season that needs improvement. attacking wise, we just have to make space and to be creative. we have the quality to do well and hopefully notts can start brightly but it might take time to build a good run of form.
  3. its a good question, but i dont think fans would have been less likely to renew. if they wanted to, it would make sense to have done it whilst the early bird prices was available. paying more because a player left just seems odd, as does if they refused to go to games because he left therefore not buying a season ticket as some sort of protest towards the club. i get the knee jerk reaction and the upset, but it would not have made much difference.
  4. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2024/august/06/introducing--piesplayer/ sounds like it will be normal service for most fans overseas.
  5. it seems every year a big name falls, the lack of alternative places to buy electrical good in the high street is very poor. i know its all the same, but that is why it was good some offered deals. its changing and everything is so much easier a click away. there is enough variety online, so why cant stores get more creative? the lack of foresight is the main reason why i think most fail.
  6. i like them both, i got the home shirt and i think i will get the third kit when its on sale. i think its better than the away design, but the orange is nice enough, just a bit basic.
  7. its disappointing because it could have gone digital instead, therefore, reducing paper waste and allowing people to read it on their phones. i think its sad that we have dropped them. i understand it, and its good that the club will be focusing on content on the site but its still a shame.
  8. its hooligans causing trouble and a large amount are trying to use the situation to steal stuff. stupid rioters, i hope it dont effect notts.
  9. its good to be back! i have been looking forward to this fixture since the release dates of games. i am looking forward to seeing how we compare to last season, but it is early days but i am pleased with how we have improved defensively. i hope the squad can put on a good display, if we could start the season well it could ease some of our fans nerves. we have a good squad on paper, i dont know much about tranmere but i am sure they will be tough with them being at home.

  12. ????????‍♂️its a interesting spot, i always wonder how people get pictures like this and why the club does not do more to ensure nobody is sneaking pictures. if a player is training with you, then its less a problem but when its just like this anyone could see it and trigger interest. i dont really know him but trust the recruitment.
  13. i sometimes wonder if stuart maynard would be better if he had a more experienced assistant, but i do think its important he can trust them. he has formed a working relationship, so hopefully its enough for him to start winning fans over more.
  14. very good preview, its good to see that notts got mentioned and obviously they would mention life without macca. seeing them list our defensive signings again gave me a buzz. they do look like strong signings for us.
  15. i am pleased to see the return of the opposition view, thank you to joe for taking the time to answer. it does give us notts fans a glimpse into tranmere rovers. i will be sure to keep an eye out on omari patrick and luke norris. it will be my first time to tranmere so i am very excited especially with it being the very first game of the 2024-25 season.
  16. he could have made a good signing but 23 goals in 91 appearances at the age of 27, is not the most glamourous record. i dont see these stats as important, i am just saying we could find someone more suitable. i do think the way we play, someone with a good level of finishing would thrive. i get the feeling we wont be signing another striker though, the club seems to be heavily promoting david mcgoldricks contributions in the pre season. we might be waiting to see how january looks.
  17. i was never a doubt, in all day long. ????
  18. i am pleased for bromley, as underdogs and newly promoted team i wish them all the best in league two. it was nice to watch them gain promotion, as it meant something and it really is an exciting chapter for them. the task to remain an efl club is quite large but if they continue with their team spirit and fight, i am sure they will survive the drop.
  19. i am currently on a break, catching up with the site. it's quite busy again today, but its nice that its not blistering hot. did anyone else have a thunderstorm last night? it rained quite heavily in spells, it felt nice to have a window open. most of my week day activity will be work based. ???? i am looking forward to going to tranmere with @TheSkipper and @Joshua will be taking @CliftonMagpie ticket as hes still unwell.
  20. reminds me of my school days. ???? good luck to him in retirement, if he can inspire or coach the next generation of great british talent that would be great.
  21. he does look somewhat like jack grealish, but his facial hair is very full and overgrown. @Wheelbarrow repair man: i have returned your original post and slightly amended the title, please lets not turn this into something more than it needs to be. allow it to continue without distractions and lets leave every prior be now.
  22. rest in peace, 55 is no age. my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  23. dont worry about it, i am sure once time frees up and you have a system where you can get everything you want done. the site will be here and ready, i think i can speak for everyone when i say we are thankful for all you do.
  24. he came good for portsmouth and has really done well, i hope this does not set his career back or prevent him from playing again. the good thing is that it was caught before it became a problem. just to mention, i would have assumed he had past medical examinations and that nothing was found until now.
  25. based on who i have seen play for notts. lee hughes, kasper, macaulay langstaff and mike edwards. if i were to choose on legends, it would be much harder.
