  1. i think romelu lukaku can be added, but i still think jose is the better manager personally. both are different types of managers tho.
  2. i feel sorry for jodi jones, but at least he has the right attitude and his desire to do well should see him come back stronger. i think hes right about the challenge, but referees are not strong enough to protect attacking players. its very annoying, i hope he gets to have some down time with his family during this injury.
  3. i dont like pep all that much, i think hes overrated but i think he just follows what has been happening for years. i think managers who rely on spending silly sums or only wants to manage the best teams in whatever league just shows a lack of faith in their ability. could pep turn things around at manchester united without spending bid?
  4. there is nothing wrong with the result, our team gave a good account and managed to pull themselves back into the game. playing a team higher up and only losing by a single goal, its encouraging. hard luck to our players.
  5. Norwich City 1-3 Leeds United Sunderland 0-1 Derby County Birmingham City 2-1 Huddersfield Town Crawley Town 0-1 Mansfield Town Leyton Orient 2-0 Exeter City Doncaster Rovers 1-0 Barrow joker Newport County 0-0 Salford City Tranmere Rovers 0-1 Swindon Town
  6. i think we know we need to be brighter and work as a team not just in defence, i am hoping we can work stronger at how we move the ball so that players dont tire chasing after attacks which are unlikely to mount to something. we need to make sure we have multiple passing options moving forward just so that we dont focus to much on passing back. the game is winnable, but we would need to be much better than we were against morecambe, if we can play as we did against them in the 70th minute mark but for longer against carlisle we might just do that.
  7. lewis alessandra, one of the better players during our relegation to the national league.
  8. had we played more like we did from the 70th minute mark, but sooner we would have won the game but the lads digged deep to win the point. morecambe made it hard, the first half especially and we had some good chances. i think george abbott should have scored his chance, but hes young and will get a goal if he continues to work as hard as he is. i thought stuart maynard the right chances, maybe we needed one or two sooner but thats easy in hindsight.
  9. i thought he really did deserve it for all his efforts throughout the game. i am pleased fans voted and have so far respected it on social media. Pride of Nottingham - Notts County Community WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Huge congratulations to David McGoldrick for being named Pride of Nottingham’s Man of the Match in yesterday’s 1-1 draw against Morecambe! Your performance was outstanding! #Notts #COYP...
  10. i thought george abbott and sam austin where very good, but david mcgoldrick was the workhorse against morecambe. he was involved a lot and had to use his experience to help us, had he not been forced into so much work i think he would have been more effective on goal and therefore noticed more but his performance on the pitch was top draw yesterday.
  11. its a little disappointing that it took us so long to get to grips with the game, but morecambe do deserve credit. they made it hard, but we made it harder on ourselves. i think we really need to work on moving the ball forward, where supporting players try to make space. we play far better with the ball on the ground until in a position where a cross can come in.
  12. i do think the club is making notts somewhere good players want to be, we seem less of a stepping stone or retirement home and more somewhere players can get their chances to impress. jacob bedeau looks a very good capture already.
  13. its going to be a good game, i hope notts can retain the ball well and make real use of it. morecambe have some good players themselves at this level, so despite their form i do think notts needs to manage the game.
  14. i have faith not only in this squad to continue to impress and fight for promotion, but also stuart maynard. he has done well, we were unlucky to lose to gillingham. it was mostly out of our control, so if we can step up and work hard to secure a win it would be a good boost.
  15. imagine the stick brian stubbs would get if he did that now, fans would be calling him blind but its easy to happen. its a great clip of notts.
  16. i hope peterborough slip up and we can push closer, i am glad they won their game and that they are doing well. being closer to the top half gives them something to fight for.
  17. i never thought of him as being an international manager, he seems someone better suited to leagues because of how he prefers to sign players from abroad. i dont know how successful he could be with the US team.
  18. he will be one to watch out for, having come through the chelsea youth system he should have something about him. i dont watch much football above our level, so i dont know of him either.
  19. its a good move for aidan stone, i hope it works out because you can see a keeper in him. he just needs confidence and a good defence in front of him.
  20. respectful comments by jacob bedeau about morecambe, going back to your former club can be a blessing but it can also be negative with the way things are going. i would hope their fans give him and dan crowley a good reception and dont take their current situation out on them.
  21. has it been made public what all the charges are? i am aware that they have overspent etc, i also remember reading something about them doing what chelsea did that earned them an embargo due to loaning out and signing you talent.
  22. the short term deal sounds like he is arriving only as a cover, but i suppose it sees how he will do in our system and could always be extended. i am not suggesting the deal is bad due to length, so we will have to wait and see how he does in our team.
  23. anthony joshua should continue to see what fights open up for him and see how things come about, as he could make a return to the top again but it would require focus. the thing boxing is there is ups and downs, even with the very best but its how they cope when handling set backs that makes things count.
  24. i wonder how many it attracted and if it was anywhere near as busy as it normally would be for certain events. was this the same day as the aj fight? that might have helped boost the crowd.
  25. i dont see how they would go missing, unless something dodgy had been done to them. i wonder how many teams are missing trophies and how common it is for clubs that have struggled. its not right at all.
