  1. i think this is a good shout, but because its japan people will overlook it and think belgium were bound to come back. yet japan played very well and deserved to win more so imo. if only their keeper was better, this is from the 2018 world cup.
  2. @cheeky~k8 is right. @Fan of Big Tone whats the model of the laptop? there are alternatives to windows that can be installed on older machines but if its really old. then it might be a pointless exercise. it all depends on the cpu in the laptop and how much physical ram it can hold.
  3. it dont look promising, i hope they manage to be saved. their owner has ran them into the ground.
  4. i joined, liampie02 is my username. i probably wont post much but i will keep a look out for friends.
  5. welcome to pon, @Jones10.
  6. hes a very good player than has done well with celtic and stuck with them whilst they were not as strong as previous squads. he and some of the other celtic youth have made a real difference with the senior team when they came through.
  7. i hope they manage to find a way forward but if they become an afc at least they should come back stronger.
  8. hahahahaha haha what a manager, i wonder how many times he pulled this trick off? the amount of clubs hes managed he could have fully renovated his home for free. @Chris that sounds hilirous!
  9. the two davids... mcgoldrick and vaughan.
  10. just letting people know, my account on facebook has been hacked. i have created a new one because facebooks account recovery is a joke. please unfriend the existing account, i do not trust the person who got hold of my account. i have no idea how its happened but i have reset all my passwords.
  11. good luck marc bola, i wish him great success as he continues his football journey.
  12. notts has invited fans to get a photo taken with the national league trophy. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2023/july/trophy-in-shop-1007232/
  13. i think slocombe years of experience cant yet be compared to stone, he did well and saved some efforts a lot of keepers may struggle with. hes confident and stands up to mistakes, most goals were caused due to the defence. its hard for a young keeper who might not be that ready to face a good stoke side with so many problems in front of him. i believe he will come good. mahovo has been poor in both friendlies but fair play to williams for trying to still give him time. i think if matt palmer/john bostock and our usual back 5 were to play we would have coped a lot better. i am not concerned, i think the issues would show playing a team that high above us.
  14. i agree and i think the stewards need to take action when its constant abuse and not a knee jerk reaction.
  15. there was some good play in the first half, just not much. second half we did better but its a friendly at the end of the day. i think we could lose to real madrid and some would not be happy.
  16. i liked him too muddy, though i think he is 1-2 seasons away from being ready for first team football at our level. i think he would end up playing behind sam slocombe. i do think aidan stone will still come good though and i do think archie mair will have a great career.
  17. they should have sacked vieira because he was awful, glad shaun derry is back in football. i hope one day he will give management a try again.
  18. we had a lot of rain and a thunder storm for about an hour. not much chance having a bbq where i was. it very stuffy and humid. did you manage to miss the rain?
  19. i dont buy drinks at games because the prices are so steep, its not reasonable what they ask for a soft drink in comparison to something alcoholic. its quite daylight robbery, as i have had drinks at smaller football grounds for a much fairer price. its like notts is the reason, squeezing more profits out of the fans pocket.
  20. welcome to pon, i am pleased to say hello to you @MagpieRob.
  21. it was a nice idea to feature some of the youth players, in fairness some of the senior ones made just as many mistakes and its because stoke were relentless with wanting to get the ball back. the quality of their play and the ability they had in stopping us from playing made it hard. from the moment the ball kicked off, it looked like it was going to be an up hill battle. i dont think anyone can be harsh of the players, because without this lesson it would be have been something we may have worked on from here in training. if luke williams focuses on our handling with pressure and defensive play, at least it should be corrected in time for the bigger games in the league.
  22. i used to buy them at every game until a few years ago, when it became like cheap card. i dont like the paper, i get its cost saving measure but other clubs still do them with the nicer quality and it makes seem good value. when i had the email about the club wanting fans thoughts if they should continue, i fully expected them just to scrap it to save costs and time.
  23. @JohnTheBost yes, he did. a lot of ex footballers do this and keep them going on the side of coaching for clubs. i wish jon stead all the best.
  24. welcome to pon @Paul Manterfield. i hope you like it here.
  25. hello, @stutheumpire1862. welcome to pon. if we need any officiating done, you will be the first person we ask.
