  1. i thought dan leivers had left? has he come back then? i dont know, maybe its someone else but i think we are going about things well in the academy department, just need to get them up to scratch with playing in the first team because youth players can become good backups. plus down the line important first team players.
  2. anyone else having trouble reading this? there are so many better reasons as to why chesterfield should focus on promotion, our fans is not one of them. he seems a bit of a .
  3. i like both shirts, but the away shirt so much nicer. @Chris said it would be blue all along. i am glad it is because i think look good in it. yes, but fans are less likely to complain if it stays within tradition for big seasons. our first season back in the football leagues shirt is important and i get why fans dont like the home shirt. i do, but thats my taste.
  4. its all really stupid, i am not sure what elon musk can do but he should focus on losing his existing user base by undoing much of his own damage.
  5. are you not going to the friendly game @Fan of Big Tone? i will be going to watch notts vs stoke, then going for a few drinks after the game. sunday, i will be spending time at my mums and probably doing more of my garden/tidying my home up.
  6. its glued to the game, i always think dogs like this get their interest from the owners and love to celebrate with them.
  7. chris puts no end of time and energy into doing something for others, he does not ask for the credit but he most certainly does not get it. very underappreciated by some parts of our fan base. this is a great blog, i really enjoyed it.
  8. keeping macaulay langstaff and building the squad further, adding depth into those key areas where we could do with just a bit more quality should pay off. its great to read that the players are enjoying being back, training hard and working towards another good season. its a very exciting time for us notts fans and we need to enjoy it as much as possible.
  9. i am not too concerned about the injuries, its pleasing to know jodi was not injured but was resting due to only just coming back. i think the squad is big enough that we can focus on getting them fit and ready before the season starts. hopefully, then we can try to keep the players fully fit as much as possible. i would not risk any against stoke but i do hope to see jr morias play at some point.
  10. we usually do stick with two teams, it seems a trend for pre season games but i do think games like this we should put out strongest players that are fit out. leave the alfreton and boston friendlies to tinker, use these higher standard friendlies as a means to get the squad somewhat settled. as if it was a league game and the others were the cup. whatever luke williams chooses i am sure he will have thought everything out.
  11. nice of you super, i know how much Kate meant to granny pie but preserving her hearing is an incredibly kind gesture. stoke city, who? super ram 2-1. @cheeky~k8 feel free to turn it off when @Chris is talking notts or rambling on.
  12. Shola Ameobi i was praying nobody had said him because its the only one that came to mind, despite knowing quite a few of the earlier mentioned players.
  13. i thought most of the youth players put in a shift, one or two need to gain more experience its clear but they showed some great potential too. the wing backs and midfielder were great.
  14. the club seems to be going backwards, rather than forwards from their promotion to the football league. i think their owner is more like alan hardy, full of himself and makes decisions for his own gains and not the fans or club. both dont like "meat" in the public eye.
  15. i plan to see how it goes, i dont tweet much but if it turns out to be better i will use it.
  16. welcome to pon @rohan. its great to have you with us.
  17. welcome to pon @Michael D P, its nice to have you here.
  18. its a position they will want to ensure can be around for years to come, a manager is an easier appointment i feel and we may have a group of people still being narrowed down. the club might have hired someone but decided to keep it quiet for a later stage. we simply won't know until an official announcement.
  19. me neither i dont really have the connection or interest in any other clubs.
  20. i think its a good chance to build momentum like we did last season, in my personal opinion the bigger games are grimsby town and tranmere rovers but notts needs to treat them all the same. i think its also nice to get those two games out of the way nice and early, i think if we can build winning streaks like we did in the national league, confidence will grow. i am very much looking forward to the new season.
  21. the way notts plays, any striker will get chances and i think macaulay langstaff benefits from this but hes still a superb finisher. im glad we have managed to keep him so far.
  22. it was good to see how different both teams were setup, i think the first was a bit more defensive minded and the second had more attacking options. it was good to david mcgoldrick. jim o brien was superb. aidan stone looks like a good keeper to have between the sticks. i hope he plays against stoke.
  23. yes, liverpool fans were great and the boring from england supporters seems harsh. i dont think they would know because crouch has earned the respect of everyone but i think there is a lesson there for others who did not support him.
  24. new members may have less time for pon with another social network and people undecided about twitter. but chris understood what i meant. it just takes people to get familiar with pon, there is loads of ways in which you have made sure fans can find content. it just takes that person preference and a bit of time to commit. i just felt encouraged by the new members joining. it feels like the hard work put into pon is finally being noticed.
  25. when did we last have a squad like this? there are players who would make my starting 11, but others who could come in at any point. there are no players that have been signed who i dont think could start or be a key player. this is the first time in ages that i believe we have had so much depth in this area. luke williams is building well and i just appreciate his views on this. hes leading by example.
