Online site The Sportsman has listed Notts County's revival this year as one of their Highlights of 2017. Here's an excerpt: What a remarkable 2017 for Notts County, a club transformed by a new owner and a manager in Kevin Nolan who appears destined to reach the top flight once again. As the one-year anniversary of a takeover and Nolan’s appointment to the managerial hotseat approaches, the turnaround over this calendar year must rank as one of the most impressive any club as seen. And it’s why, in a year of England striker Harry Kane’s world class goalscoring exploits, the epic British and Irish Lions drawn series in New Zealand and England’s Six Nations title, as a Notts County fan the day new owner Alan Hardy walked into the door and proceeded to bring Nolan with him, is the only sporting occasion that can only be the moment of 2017. So Kevin Nolan's fine work has been recognised with a second Manager of the Month nomination of the season. He was first nominated in September and went on to win it. Now Nolan's up against Mansfield's Steve Evans, Chesterfield's Jack Lester and Luton's Nathan Jones for the November gong. Would you like to see Nolan win it or best not to in case of the MOTM "curse"? Has he done enough to warrant it this month? Share your thoughts!
In terms of Notts County fixtures, October is now over and done with, and it's been a case of mixed fortunes this month. I wrote at the start of the month about how a relatively easy month on paper could have caught the Notts players out due to complacency and, at certain times, it seemed like that's just what happened. So from 5 League Two games - a possible 15 points - we've got 8, but crucially finished the month on a high note with a much improved display and a 3-0 win over Newport in the last game. What would you rate the month out of 10? Let us know!

So to all those picked, well done and keep up the good work going into October and for the rest of the season!
