  1. Notts County have earned a place in the hat for the fifth round of the FA Cup after holding Premier League side Swansea City to a 1-1 draw in Saturday's fourth-round match at Meadow Lane. The Magpies began brightly but their opponents soon stepped up a gear and had the hosts under the coash before finding the net on the stroke of half time through Luciano Narsingh. Kevin Nolan's charges were much improved in the second half, however, as Jorge Grant spurned three gilt-edged chances in quick succession. Eventually, County's pressure was rewarded as veteran striker Jon Stead turned home on the hour to draw the Magpies level and ultimately clinch a replay at the Liberty Stadium. Pride of Nottingham was at the Lane to watch the action unfold and took plenty of photos of the Notts fans. 2. Kevin Nolan has praised the Notts County fans for their fervent support during Saturday's 3-0 win over Newport County. Jorge Grant's brace and Shola Ameobi's powerful finish against the Exiles, combined with Luton Town's defeat to Coventry City, saw the Magpies return to the summit of League Two. Nolan was delighted with the Black and White Army's noise levels throughout the game, insisting that his players' confidence was boosted and helped spur them on in the game. “The fans were with us all the way through the game and you can see when they are on form and singing, how much confidence it gives to the lads,” he told the Nottingham Post. “Thanks to them and hopefully they can continue to do that when things aren’t going so well. “That’s when we need them even more. I was delighted with them and thank you to them for their massive support they have given me since I came here.” Share your thoughts about this news story on Pride of Nottingham by signing up to the website, visiting the forum and joining in the chat with hundreds of fellow Notts County fans. 3. The love triangle between Liam Noble, Notts County and Forest Green Rovers was a saga that lasted for a big chunk of the summer, with multiple failed bids and a war of words between the clubs' chairmen, and it appeared settled when the Nailsworth club tied their captain down to a new contract. But over the last week, it's emerged again and then exploded outright as Noble was ruled out through a medical issue, was released by mutual consent due to his desire to move closer to his family in the North East, and now he's been snapped up by the Magpies. To say the whole saga and subsequent acquisition of the 26-year-old has been divisive among the fanbase would be an understatement. Here, Pride of Nottingham has a look at some of the opinions surrounding Noblegate that have been shared on our social media pages. 4. Notts County have recorded a fifth win on the spin and climbed to the top of League Two thanks to a 4-1 hammering of local rivals Lincoln City at Meadow Lane. The Magpies were under pressure early on but Billy Knott's red card for a wild challenge on Ryan Yates gave Kevin Nolan's team a man advantage. Jon Stead volleyed in the opening goal but the Imps hit back in the early stages of the second period as Harry Anderson's header pulled them level. Notts were soon back in front, with Matt Tootle rifling the hosts into the lead once again and celebrating in sluggish style, before Jorge Grant's stunning free kick made it 3-1. Terry Hawkridge then got one over his old employers by rounding off the scoring with a late goal. 5. Notts County have climbed to third in League Two and stretched their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions following a 2-0 win over Morecambe. Dan Jones opened the scoring for the Magpies at Meadow Lane with a 27th-minute free kick which was curled expertly round the Shrimps wall and beyond goalkeeper Barry Roche. Morecambe launched a fightback but their efforts were to no avail as Notts struck late on through substitute Jonathan Forte as he broke through and rifled home via the inside of the post.
