In a dramatic finish at Meadow Lane, Jodi Jones secured a last-gasp equaliser for Notts County, who drew 2-2 against Fleetwood.

The visitors took the lead in the first half when Ryan Graydon headed in from a corner, and they doubled their advantage early in the second half through Brendan Wiredu, who calmly slotted home after being set up by Graydon.

Notts County, however, refused to back down. Alassana Jatta halved the deficit just before the hour mark, converting Lewis Macari’s low cross to reignite the home side's hopes.

As the match neared its conclusion, Notts piled on the pressure. Their efforts paid off deep into stoppage time when Nick Tsaroulla was fouled inside the area. Jones stepped up to take the resulting penalty, confidently sending the goalkeeper the wrong way and securing a hard-fought point for his side.

Despite Fleetwood’s strong start, Notts County’s determination saw them claw back to earn a share of the spoils in a thrilling encounter.

Absolutely thrilled with the way Notts played, especially in the second half. Fleetwood set the tone early on, but our boys didn't let their heads drop. Jatta's goal was perfectly timed to reignite hope, and we rode that wave of momentum right to the end. The penalty was nerve-wracking, but fair play to Jodi Jones for keeping his composure under immense pressure. @ARLukomskii’s vlog does justice to the rollercoaster of emotions experienced during the match.

It was a beautiful move for our first goal, a defence splitting pass from Crowley to Macari, & a pin point cross that was put home by Jatta.

Notts showed lots of character & determination in that second half & they deservedly got the equaliser with a class flick from McGoldrick that again split the Fleetwood defence, & allowed Tsaroulla to win the penalty.

And Jones stroked in the penalty as cool as you like. Pressure, what pressure?

If Notts play like they did in that second half against Fleetwood, Notts will win many games this season.

Going forward, I think Tsaroulla will have a big part to play at both ends of the pitch. He could be a Notts player to look out for this season.

Well done to Notts for such a heroic comeback! Fleetwood definitely had us worried with those early goals, but the team’s resilience really shone through. Jatta’s goal brought life back into the game, and the tension just kept building. The real moment of magic was Jones’ penalty, absolute nerve of steel. Loved how @ARLukomski captured the essence and drama of the game in the vlog. It felt like I was reliving every pivotal moment.
