Matt Tootle has stressed that he "wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else" after he committed his future to Notts County until 2020.
The Magpies defender, who was voted the Fans' Player of the Year, was rewarded for his endeavours after the club unveiled their retained list on Tuesday.
Writing on his Twitter account, Tootle said: βAbsolutely delighted to have signed a new two-year deal at Notts.
βI wouldnβt have wanted to go anywhere else itβs been an amazing year which ended on a sour note. Canβt wait for next year already.β
Chairman Alan Hardy added: βHe is a fantastic ambassador for Notts County.
βHeβs had a great season and was rightly chosen by the fans as player of the year.
βHe was part of a fantastic back-four that had the third best defensive record in the league.
βMatt is tremendously committed to the cause and produced some excellent performances throughout the campaign.
