i see another draw, because i think gateshead will want to take the game to us and with them being at home that should help. they have draw their opening games, so i dont think we should write them off, plus they lost their two main strikers and got good fees allegedly off us.

that might want them to show that they can make the step up against one of the leagues better teams.

if i was gateshead, i would push for corners and set pieces as we look no better than previous seasons. on the positive side we do attack quite well and that could lead to notts controlling the game.

Not a great performance by all accounts. Lucky to escape with a draw. Their goal was an early Christmas present. Those mistakes have to be cut out.

The league is there for the taking this year. If Notts get their act together, automatic promotion is a strong possibility. Saturday's game against Chesterfield is a chance to make a real statement of intent.

I felt a draw was highly likely, like Liam I felt Gateshead would be very eager to prove a point. Still, it's early days but defensively I do feel we could be a whole lot better.
