Surprised by Holt though. I though he had potential and with hard work might have made the grade, but SD knows best.

Notts County Football Club can confirm that development squad duo Jordan Holt and Callum Bennett have departed Meadow Lane.

Both players’ contracts have expired this week and will not be renewed.

Holt made a total of two first team appearances for the Magpies, whereas Bennett was named as an unused substitute on two occasions.

Everyone at the club would like to thank Callum and Jordan for their efforts and wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

I can't comment on the Bennett lad but Holt looked useful, they both served us well.

Both perhaps not up to the standard we require, although with hard work and dedication I think we will see them continue to play. I think Holt would be good for a Non League club, if he can attract interest perhaps a local team will try him out?

holt did not seem capable as a left back, i know he was out of position but his control and touches was poor. best for all concerned i guess

I guess managers share different views, perhaps CK saw something in the pair and SD doesn't.

Holt did okay at left back for us, although I did have a lot of stress when he came onto the ball but for a young lad he would only improve. Shaun probably thinks he's limited as a footballer and it might be right.

Bennett I can't comment on, I don't recall seeing him.
