It has been evident for months that a change was needed to try to prevent the amount of goals being conceded match after match.

The changes that Stuart made for what turned out to be, the successful trip to Newport worked so well

Changing to a back 4, a more defensive  minded midfield & putting Didzy up front, supported by Macaulay & Jodi was a masterstroke by Stuart.

The side has demonstrated that they can adapt to a new shape & style of play.

In my opinion the side has picked itself for the trip to Wrexham if everyone is fit, so I see no changes for our game with them on Saturday.

Every game is different of course, & there will need to be some tweaks to counter Wrexham's threat, particularly from set pieces.

Every side we play will be weary of our attacking threat and Wrexham will be no different.

I believe a 1:1 draw would be a great result for us, but a win would be tremendous.

UPIES.

I think you're right Robbie in what you say regarding team choice. New players have also started to blend in to the Notts playing style. And it's great to have young Macari back in the side. One of my main worries is Jodi who is electric fast and not many defenders can live with the Guy at the moment, my fear is he may be hacked down over and over again, I just hope he as the mentality to brush these problems off and Not respond to the fouls, which will come his way, because it seems match officials won't give him the protection he should have. Like you say a point at Wrexham, would be a good result, and if Notts can go on and produce a series of Good Results over the next few matches, other teams will Start to Fear the Magpies again. C.O.Y.P.

wrexham are a difficult team and are in good form, but they do have a habit of conceding goals too. defensively, notts needs to be strong if we are to see the game out. i dont question that we have the ability to score, but out scoring wrexham at the cost of poor defending seems unlikely.

personally right now i think it might be a 1-1 draw, i would be happy with it.

Wouldn’t it be great if Notts were the ones to score points against Wrexham? They’re tough opponents on their home ground, but hopefully, we can put up a good match and handle their long balls that skip the midfield. We now have more robust choices in defence, which is positive. It’s set to be a thrilling match!

It doesn't get any more difficult than playing Wrexham at their ground, last season we did so well up to a point, and it will be interesting to see how we match them now. I wasn't at the home game against them, but whatever the outcome we need to be mindful of taking games as they come and not overreact if things don't go our way.

I fully suspect Wrexham will make it difficult.

It is crucial to ensure the involvement of Macaulay Langstaff. I hope if David McGoldrick starts appearing sluggish that we don't avoid making that change because in the final 20 minutes a bit of energy and speed can make a huge difference.

Will Stuart Maynard make any changes?

Spot on @Chris Wrexham pose a formidable challenge at their own ground, it’ll be a tough ask to get a win or even a draw in front of their hostile crowd.

I don’t foresee Maynard making any changes barring injuries, Notts did really well in their last game but Wrexham will be a whole new level of challenge, I don’t expect us to win, a draw would be fantastic but without sounding too negative I think we’ll put up a good performance but lose. I hope I’m wrong.

Wrexham are in a bit of a rut. They just about beat a very poor Sutton side in their last game. Bradford showed how to beat them at their place. Solid defending. Don't engage in their mind games and take your chance when it comes. They'll be well up for this game. It won't be boring.

Wrexham are blessed with the ability to play with no real patterns of play, it’s just about getting it close to the goal to someone with quality like Lee, McClean, Mullin etc. Or failing that a set-piece so one of their massive defenders can cause some chaos. They haven’t been playing well, but I think it’s their away form which is more likely to hamper them for the rest of the season.

They have got that ability to just churn out results and they only need a good 10-minute spell and before you know it they’ve scored 2. I’d expect Wrexham will try and bombard our backline from the off, they’ll make us defend 50/50 balls as much as possible so we really need to be up for it defensively. We've got threats too though although I suspect Jodi will need to wear a 360° shin pad tomorrow!

We’ve always had close games with Wrexham and I expect tomorrow will be no different, a draw would be a good result for us given our terrible form against the top 10 in this league.

We're off to Cheshire's second biggest club tomorrow then. We owe them one. It'll be difficult as they're a physical side that'll put us under pressure and try to force mistakes, but if we pick up where we left off at Newport we've got every chance of bringing points back with us. Looking forward to it!

I hope we were going to have a back 4 again. Why's Stuart dropped Macari. He played so well on Tuesday at right back. Nemane isn't a right back.

We were robbed in my opinion, or alternatively, we can count ourselves very unlucky to have the goal ruled out for handball. Wrexham took their chance when it came around. We didn't. take ours unfortunately.

We aren't conceding as many goals which is good, but we have to take our chances when they become available.

Looking at the table we are now in ninth place, but we haven't lost much ground.

I think we are fighting for 6th or 7th place now. There are nine clubs including Notts now fighting for those last two places in the playoffs.

I believe we are still in the mix for one of those two places, but we need to win at least nine matches of the remaining 14 to have any chance.

Robbed is probably the best description of today's events. Very harsh decision to rule out our goal. Notts were the better side. It was a weird day. Stockport hammered. Mansfield lost. As did Barrow.

I didn’t go to the match but from the commentary Notts seemed to at least deserve a draw from a very good performance, there are a lot of positives to take from the match so let’s not be too downhearted. Keep the faith, onwards and upwards to the playoffs.

It was an exciting game. Wrexham could and should have buried it early in the second half. And although I have no complaints about our attacking force, Jatta will likely bring something new to the mix. I also think Didzy looks a bit tired at times. He`s playing a lot for a 36 year old in a quite intensive setup. I think it can be useful to sub Didzy for Jatta, and then play with two strikers, especially against low block teams where we need something new. Maynard seems like a more flexible coach than LW, so we will see a fair amount of different combinations for the upcoming games, both in defence and attack.

No disgrace losing to Wrexham though obviously not the result you Pie fans yearned for but Stuart Maynard does seem to be getting more right than he gets wrong. It's still all to play for

Would say that from reading the above he is spot on. I won’t listen to his interview though as I think he is the most disingenuous manager I have ever come across, the blokes a low life and not worth the air time.
He never gives the opposition any credit when they beat him and is even worse when his side wins.
