Hopefully the result against Accy will have boosted the sagging moral of the Squad and maybe, just maybe will inspire the Notts players on to a victory. My head says a Bradford victory but in my heart Notts grab a late win 1-0 or 2-1, to ease the pressure on Stuart Maynard and the rest of his coaching staff.

I think I would much prefer a late 1 - 0 win or an absolute hammering  3- 0 or 4-0.  A clean sheet would do wonders for morale and a late winner would prove that they can paly for 90 minutes - I get the feeling that they struggle for more than an hour.

This really is the battle of the terrible. Somehow, Bradford are winning that battle so far and showing themselves to be even worse than we are.

Cameron and Warner winning the mini battle of the terrible for Notts so far. They're both begging to gift a goal away.

Now let's be positive.

Our defence is not going to improve until we have new blood in the close season.

Let's celebrate Macaulay's 25 goal of the season.

Jatta Gets our third and his 2nd

Absolutely huge win.

A clean sheet.

Jatta scores 2, Macca gets 1.

Notts up to 13th place 6 points from the playoffs

Notts have now scored 75 league goals.

Fantastic result on an awful surface. Jatta is flying. He can score with his head or his feet. We have exceeded the 50 point mark. We were never going to go down, but 50 is a psychological point total more than anything. The playoffs are a possibility at this stage which is crazy given the bad run we were on.

Very pleasing result, though nothing to get carried away about. Can only look forward, no point looking back, hope it's the start of s good run.

A win and clean sheet! That’s more like it!

No-one can argue with that result, it was completely deserved after the second half performance. I thought there wasn’t much in the first half but I liked that we seemed to try and shoot instead of going down the overkill of passes route and you know Langstaff will always be in the middle to pounce on those loose balls. About time we scored direct from a set-piece too and for someone whose heading got down played on his arrival it was a cracker. Then we just looked like our old selves, it’s funny what scoring a couple of goals does to the confidence. We had really good 15 mins and probably should’ve scored our third a lot earlier than we did.

The recruitment team has taken a lot of stick this season and maybe he wasn’t the player we needed by on early showing Jatta looks really good. A case of acting before other clubs get the chance again, I’m very impressed so far.

So that’s a draw and a win in two away games, just got to cap it all off with a first home win for Maynard now...

The Players the Coaching Staff  the Fans  the Owners and the whole club needed that. Now let us go forward and get 3 more points on Saturday, one match at a time and lets hope the Magpies can build on this evening success. Nice to see Macca back on the score sheet and Jatta appears to be having an excellent spell in the Black & White Stripes lets hope, he can carry on in this vein.

Don't anyone say this team cannot go long if necessary.

A last word on the pitch. When Jatta is celebrating his first goal, bits of the surface were flying around his ankles. You couldn't call it turf. It was more like clay. I doubt there's much drainage there. When I was in France visiting the WW1 battlefields, I picked up some soil. It was clay. Exactly like Bradford's surface. Maybe I'm too obsessed with soil but I put that down to being Irish, land and soil are engrained in our DNA.

Another plus regarding last night two Notts youngsters Luther Munakandafa and James Sanderson were on the bench, admittedly neither got onto the pitch ( a term used very loosely for Bradford's pitch) but just being part of the Match Day Squad would have done wonders for both lads morale, and hopefully both can gat a couple of games before the season's end.

First game I haven`t watched live on stream this season. I watched the replay now and I`m a very happy man! Great result on a terrible pitch. Jatta brings something else.

What a relief that was! You can see how much that meant from the celebrations at the end of the match. I feel chuffed for Stuart Maynard in particular. But now a lot will depend on the manner in which we follow it up - whether we grow in confidence or fall back into the same pattern as before. Saturday could go a long way to telling us where the journey will take us.

I'm not getting carried away about the play-offs though. I'd be happy with a top ten position and something to build on for next season.

I understand that it has been laid over a concrete bed, not immediately below the surface, but close enough to mean it won't drain.  The cost to remediate it is prohibitive, so they (and everyone else) will be living with it for a few seasons yet.
