Congratulations to the Stags

I know we all love to hate the Stags but let’s be magnanimous and congratulate them on their well deserved promotion. Nigel Clough has managed them well, slow but steady progress over the years, buying decent players, they deserve their promotion so well done.

I've lived in Mansfield for 54 years, and am pleased that Mansfield Town have been promoted. It is good for the Town and the local area.

I could actually hear the cheers coming from the ground last night, from my garden.

I've only watched a game a couple of times at field Mill when Notts were involved.

My loyalty is too Notts County, however any sports team that has success in the County is something to be celebrated.

Congratulations to them and to our resident Stag @Dan. It was very clear they had what it takes when they gave us the runaround at the Lane earlier in the season, and they were probably due a shot at League One after all the time they've been away.

Nigel Clough has been there a while now, and not every season under him has been glorious. Owners who are wiling to invest in the team tend to demand instant success, but Mansfield's seem to be different. Good for them.

Now I'm pinning my hopes on a promotion campaign next season so we can have us, the Stags, Florist and Derby in the same division! :D

Nice to see the fans come out in Mansfield for the open top bus parade today. Thousands of fans came out and lined the route.

Promotion to league 2 is great for the town of Mansfield and for the County too.

Not gonna lie but I didn’t bother with that today. It baffles me why any club would have an open top parade for finishing 2nd or 3rd and in typical Stags style they gave up 2nd place to Wrexham!Β

Still I’m glad others disagreed with me and came out to support them.Β
