The Biggest Question at Notts is will Macca leave the Lane in the Off Season? It seems that he's Happy here at Notts and doesn't want to leave and it's been stated that Notts don't need to sell. Unless of course a  Bid comes in that is to big for Notts turn down. So let's say that Bid comes in and Macca leaves. Who do the Magpies have in reserve? Cedwyn Scott Alassana Jatta David McGoldrick and Junior Morias.  Lets take a look at the Magpies Fire Power.

Cedwyn Scott coming back from a long Term injury and is expected to take over the role of Macca and start scoring goals from the very start of Next Season. The Problem is  it's going to take Ceds time to settle and get back in his scoring groove and the Notts playing System and gaining back his confidence in front of Goal. I believe Stuart Maynard could have done more for the Striker by giving him more minutes in the Last two games of Notts season. Even if it was only the first 45 minutes and had taken him off at half time after playing him along side Macca and Not replacing him. Don't expect 20+ goals from Ceds this coming season 10-15 may be all we can hope for.

Alassana Jatta Big Big Big things are expected from this guy and in his Short time at the Lane he's impressed 5 goals and 1 assist, however since he's been injured very little communication regarding his injury has come from the Club.  And the question must be Why? It seems very strange. Providing every thing is Hunky Dory lets hope he can carry on in his scoring vein and hit the 20 goal target but don't be surprised if he doesn't, that will depend on how he handles the Pressure put on him should Macca leave.

David McGoldrick. Didzy I would think will be very disappointed with his season at Notts even though he hit the back of the net 12 times. After a Stella season at Derby scoring 22 goals in the League above Notts last year much  the same goal wise was hoped for this season, it would seem as with other Notts players his form dropped off after the departure of Luke Williams, plus he may have played with an injury and Fatigue may have also played a part in his dip in form. If he can get into double figures next season it will be a Bonus.

Junior Morias injury seems to have played a big part of his time at the Lane and only 1 goal to show in his 8 appearances means he's way down the Pecking order at Notts he'll either be sold or loaned out during next season.

Good assessment of the present situation @Wheelbarrow repair man

Much will depend if we can keep Jodi Jones, Dan Crowley & Aaron Nemane because they have contributed in such a big way with the number of assists and goals they have scored themselves.

As we have discussed, for Strikers to get their goals they need a good conveyor belt of assists coming their way & they come in abundance from those three players.

So in a way, the Notts goals are dependent upon having good suppliers and those three are so important to us.

Notts should do all they can to get those three to stay for at least another season & if they do, I believe Notts will score loads of goals next season irrespective whether Macaulay stays or not.

If Scott hasn't lost much since his injury, if Jatta is fit and Didzy has had a good summer's rest and is firing on all cylinders again, they will get the service that they need to score many goals themselves.

We have six attacking players there that could easily score 60 to 70 odd goals between them, not including goals from other team members. And we could still have Macca too.

we could do with a bit of fire power in midfield but we still have dan crowley and jodi jones who can score. sam austin is someone who can popup at the right time. defensively, it would be nice to have a few able scorers at the back. if kyle cameron can chip in next season it might redeem him amongst some fans. goals is something the club needs to look at but defensively is the most crucial area as is the goal itself.
