I do not know whose job it is to make a decision, but may I suggest Notts play Movin’ On Up by Primal Scream before or after each home game.

A well-known song with gospel connotations that has worn well since it was first released in 1990.

The lyrics epitomise Notts County and the journey we are on as we Move On Up, with the owners commitment to getting into the next league, and the next…

The lyrics reflect the transformative love that we supporters - old and new, young and old - have for our ancient team.

I really think it could become something. A statement of intent.

Please listen

Primal Scream - Movin on Up (Lyrics) (youtube.com)

Lyrics

I was blind, now I can see
You made a believer out of me
I was blind, now I can see
You made a believer out of me

I'm movin' on up now
Gettin' out of the darkness
My light shines on, my light shines on
My light shines on

I was lost, now I'm found
I believe in you, I've got no bounds
I was lost, now I'm found
I believe in you, I got no bounds

I'm movin' on up now
Gettin' out of the darkness
My light shines on, my light shines on
My light shines on

my light shines on
(My light shines on) my light shines on

I've found a video of the song on Utube.

Never heard it before but it does grow on you.

A walk out song is something that seems to always get brought up in the fans forums. I don't know who is the go between for the fans and club but it would be good to get a few different songs (suggested by fans) which can then be played on matchdays to see what gets a good response. Here's my serious and definitely not a joke suggestion ???? get Jake Bugg to re-record this; the fart sounding trumpets must be kept, that's a deal breaker...

@menzinho a different arrangement such as a heavy rock type arrangement might sound a little bit more inspiring.

The current tunnel walkout music is to my liking, yet I’m open to change. If we want a new tune, perhaps we should speak to Andy Stokes, as he’s responsible for the music selection.

I like the music they play just before the team walk out I think it helps to build up the atmosphere really well.

One Piece of Music I Enjoyed Down the Lane was The Great Escape Theme played before the Home Matches in the latter part of the Season in which the Magpies survived the Drop under Shaun Derry's Leadership. My Sons still have a Poster from that time. Sitting in my seat listening to the first Cords of the Music begin then the whole P.A System Blasting Out The Theme certainly gave me Goosebumps.
