Good morning it’s Monday. As the weekend chat seems to be quite popular I thought I might try a weekday chat topic to see how it goes.

Use this topic to talk about your daily life or anything you want to chat about on a day to day basis.

It’s a lovely start to the day so far, how are we all feeling for a Monday morning? What are up to today? Back to work, school, college? How’s you’re day going?

Well. Managed to cut the grass this morning, been so hard with all this rain we've had, and we have a weather warning for tomorrow morning in Mansfield so pleased to get it done.

Going to give it a break from the walking for a few days.

Well done @robbie, I was supposed to trim some hedges but when I done all the other things that needed doing it started raining so they'll have to wait, I don 't suppose I'll get them done tomorrow with the forecast as it is.

Good morning it’s a wet Tuesday morning, I think I rained most of the night last night, blooming weather.

I have got much on today, I’ll hopefully get a walk if it dries up and I’ll keep an eye on Notts progress against Wealdstone tonight.

Anyone doing anything exciting today?

Good morning it’s a sunny Wednesday and the temperature is on the up, time to Don those shorts and T-shirt and enjoy the sun if you can.

We are going to Attenborough nature reserve for a day out and a nice riverside walk, we’ll probably have lunch out for a treat too.

Whats everyone else doing?

We had a lovely walk around the nature reserve followed by a spot of lunch at a tea rooms, a rare treat for us, it was a long walk though and I’m feeling it now.

I haven't really done anything outside since Sunday, but I feel good, which is a nice thing. I have been working on PON, going through my list of things to do and generally trying to keep things well maintained.

Tomorrow, I will be allowed out for some time and I will be on my best behaviour. :D

Cheeky needs to look for a few things and so it means I get to accompany her. It's nothing special, but I do like getting out when its possible. I keep trying to talk Jake into having walks, but he's unwell himself at the moment.

Up early, bus and trains to catch... Stansted-Eindhoven, then Venlo for a change of trains and into Germany!

Great stuff, I hope it’s a successful trip @Piethagoram and you see a good win.

It’s going to be a hot one so I’ll be relaxing today after yesterdays exertions, slap the suncream on and into the garden I think.

Sorry, if Bulwell is somewhere dear to you but my god it's a hellhole.

I used to like going to Bulwell, to look around or to have walks. The shopping area and market were always useful, but it's not the same these days. I haven't been for at least a few years; I used to have physio and other appointments which took me that way and I sort of missed it. Until today, I hate changes and getting older just reminds me of how everyone would say things were better in their day.

The place is full of mindless zombies and crack heads looking for trouble, that's if you are not run over by speeding pensioner(s) on mobility scooters totally ignorant to where they are going.

I hate to think what it would have been like if the market was on... 😒

The plus points were having a nice walk with Kate, catching two fairly quiet buses and picking up some school stuff for next term. I won't be in a hurry to go back. I think the changes to the Bus Station making a central column for all the services is bizarre.

@Chris I couldn’t agree more, what a horrible place which I try to avoid at all costs. I’m sure there are some decent folk who live there but it does seem to have a large number of not so nice people.

A lot of the people I came across earlier probably don't live there, but it is an area in decline.

As Bulwell is located near to Aspley, it is the most sensible choice for shopping. Either, at Morrisons or Tesco. Now, the CO-OP in Strelley is now an Asda I tend to avoid that. I would rather take things as they come, avoid rushing and give people personal space - instead of what it's like now.

Well it's been a busy day, clearing out our second bedroom which we used as a storage room.

It's surprising how much stuff you collect over the years that you don't need, but cannot be sold on.

I hadn't visited the recycling centre for a few years, but it had a few dozen large skips with different labels on them for different material

Finished up using about eight different skips with what I took today.

The place was quite busy too. Looked a very thriving business, for the owner.

Always knew there was a big difference between chipboard & Wood, but I was a little confused that they wanted panes of glass in the same skip as concrete and rouble😄

Well done for recycling @Robbie we always try to recycle stuff or if it’s something that others might make use of we take it to the charity shop.

Well we can't complain about the weather today, almost wall to wall sunshine, plus a small breeze that gives a little relief from the heat.

We've actually had the ceiling fan on today. That's the first time this year.

How long is this wonderful ☀️ going to last? Will be great if it lasts the weekend.
