Sad news for Geraldo Bajrami and Burton Albion. Hope he makes a full recovery as soon as possible.

No mention if it’s the same knee, that really won't be good, it’s terrible news for him. Must feel like groundhog day with it happening at the start of the season again. I hope he recovers and can get back to playing. I'm sure Jodi had a similar long time out, he's shown you can come back from it.

The poor bloke. Jodi Jones came back from a succession of major injuries, but not everybody does. It's doubly bitter as last season could have been the making of him, but by the time he's back he'll have had two Football League seasons with barely a handful of appearances to his name.

It’s harsh to speculate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if his injuries force him to retire. There’s only so many times you can suffer such injuries, and the more you do, the more damage is done. It’s horrible, but he had most of last season to recover. If it’s not the same knee, I would say it’s much worse. I hope it’s not the case, and I wish him well.

i think he was injury prone at birmingham city, but he is another player notts paid a fee for that ended up being a waste. i dont mean because of injury. his first season he did not do much for us and although i liked him. he was consistent, i wonder if it was due to issues with his knees?

I can relate to his issues, not that I have done my ACL but from 16 I did tend to get injured a lot of playing football.

He might have to seek a specialist to get some solution, but I must say it doesn't look good. Sometimes you don't know when to quit and, you can be stubborn to injuries thinking that it's something else causing them or that you are unlucky. Unfortunately, some of us are born with issues, our genes don't help, or old problems crop up and become bigger along the way.

There's the risk that he could be doing more arm in the pursuit of playing football, again, nobody wants to give up and having made it as a professional footballer it's even harder, but he's still quite young.

Hopefully, he can review and think about it.

A field where dreams become reality.

He has to be very unfortunate or have something that is causing him to be prone to ACL injuries.

The move to Burton would have been good had this not happened, when he signed for them, I did feel surprised that they did with his injury last season. Where this leaves him now, I wouldn't want to suggest, but it's hard to see how you can come back stronger and remain with a team at that level. I sincerely hope it doesn't impact his career, but it's unfortunate to be part of football.

It’s not good for him. I hope he comes back stronger, but players usually drop down leagues because of injuries. I hope Burton stick by him. Does anyone know how long he signed with them?

It must be disappointing for him. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be, but I really hope he recovers well and can continue with his career. There were times when he was brilliant, taking on players for Notts. I wish him all the best.

I felt happy for him when he joined Burton after leaving us. Some fans felt disappointed because we had taken care of him during his injury. They had hoped he would stay, but I wasn’t as bothered about him leaving. It is sad to see him suffer another injury that keeps him out for another season. It’s not good news!

Oh dear, at least it’s not a broken leg! That’s no fun, but I can imagine an ACL injury is quite painful. I wouldn’t want to be in Geraldo Bajami’s position. I assume it was the same knee, but without news, who knows? I just hope it doesn’t force him into early retirement.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Awful news. It’s such a shame that his ACL continues to be a problematic issue for him. He worked hard to recover after his injury problems with us, and I hope he gets the medical care he needs.

It's very unfortunate that he has been ruled out for another season. It might be worth him seeing a specialist to find out why this keeps happening and if there is anything that can be done. It might be that he can't play football without the risk of injury. That would be sad.
