It's very sad news, it made me wonder if he knew when he recently mentioned how he wanted people to remember him. I am a bit shocked by it still, and very saddened.

The times I spoke with Sven at Hart's Restaurant, they will be memories I cherish. I witnessed his kindness, not only asking to speak with me after he first encountered me. Yet more for his selfless acts, the kind of charity that I witnessed where he would support charities without fuss or wanting focus on him. He was a very nice person, who treated people with nothing but respect.

Rest in Peace, Sven.

All deaths are sad, especially when you are in the middle of your own life. I am sorry to hear that he has passed away. I wish his family and friends comfort. I will remember him as a man who smiled and tried to help the club I love.

His legacy in football and life will be remembered. I think he was worried that people might remember him for what the media said about him. The man who came to Notts was humble and a true gentleman.

I am sure many people will remember him in the same way. Rest in peace.

Sven was one of our own. He could have demanded his 5m but he waived it. That unselfish act should always be remembered. May Sven rest in peace.

Sven has received many touching tributes from Notts and the world over. I have seen many from our own fans, and that is very touching. I send my condolences to his family and friends.

I hope he knew how much he meant to us Notts fans and the club. It's a shame we didn't invite him back. It would have been great to thank him. His arrival felt like when Tommy Lawton signed for Notts County. He left in a respectful way. Rest in peace, Sven.

Rest in peace. It's very sad to hear that he has passed away. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. It must be a difficult time for them. It looked like Sven had accepted it and made the most of his remaining time. Bless him.

It's not good news. I felt sorry that he felt forced to do interviews while he was unwell. He gave others his time even during his remaining time. Rest in peace, Sven!

The BBC's article, plus a video on his time mostly as the England manager. It's a good watch, the article is a decent read too.

Sven-Goran Eriksson was engaging, courteous and a shrewd tactician - and he could, and should, have ended England's trophy drought.

Rest in peace, Sven. I know it was expected, and I don't mean to talk out of turn. But it's still very sad news.

It's unfortunate, but somewhat expected news. His goodbye message to me gave the impression that things were not good and that Sven was expecting to pass away soon. It's still sad. Rest in peace.
