Can you add any other items that have been discontinued that you miss or liked?

As a boy I loved a Caramac bar.

a caramel-flavoured chocolate bar with an red and yellow wrapper. It was delicious. It was axed by Nestlé after 60 years due to declining sales.

Marathon bars, which became Snickers, don’t seem the same now. Zoom ice lollies, Banjo bars with peanuts, Caramac bars, a more recently discontinued snack, and fruit-flavoured Polos, which were a nice alternative to the mint ones. Does anyone remember Pacers?

i cant think of anything that i grew up with that is not available now, it might change in 10 or so years though. i think its the trouble with time, things become unpopular or forgotten, maybe not even marketed well and then they go.

You can still get Caramac Buddy. I bought one from my local Bargain Buys store a few weeks ago, if you have a Bargain Buys store near you, go and have a look, you just might get a nice surprise.

Things I Miss from when I was a Kid which you don't see very often in Shops. Mojo chews, Fruit Salad Chews, Black Jack Chews all costing one old penny for four Chews. Spangles, Lucky Bags, Sherbet Dib Dabs or fountains. Liquorice Sticks (they were that hard you could break your teeth on them.) There's bound to be more, but I'll have to think about them. This Topic could end up like your Quirky TV Series from the 60's & 70's.

There was a period where "Wham bars" were quite hard to get hold of. I think it was more a supply issue, but I love them. I can't think of anything from the top of my head snack or sweet wise that no longer exists.

I really miss the Brtivic 55 drinks.

Again, it seems a supplier thing but very few pubs sell it and I don't know of any supermarkets that do.

Something that has been discounted twice, the second time less success than the first and what was largely down to poorer taste.

The berry, orange and apple flavours were also heavily when they first released them.

After being discontinued in November 2023 Nestlé is bringing back the Caramac bar, but only for a limited time

If something you like is being discontinued, beat the scrappers and resellers by buying a supply long enough to last a nuclear war. Then you should be good to go! I can’t think of anything I really like that no longer exists either, but if it were to happen, I would become Tallahassee from Zombieland. No idea who that character is? Have a Google! Woody Harrelson will be your friend during any zombie outbreak.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
