Notts 0 Northampton 2.

Good run out for the youth, fringe players  and those returning from injury. Ness looked impressive.

Brown wouldn't get a game for the B side on that showing.

So what did we get out of this match? Well we know that McDonald is a class act & is going to feature in the Notts starting eleven quite a lot.

Ness looked good in the first half, but he has to build up his fitness.Tsaroulla impressed too on the right.

The youngsters tried their best but lacked composure  which is understandable. The standout youngsters were Ryley Reynolds & Madou Cisse for me, but all of them should be congratulated for their effort tonight.

I was disappointed with Martin and Brown. I expected much more from them.

I think that Stuart will have learned a few things tonight. On the defence side he has plenty of cover, but in attack there is concern especially Scott not playing tonight. Whether he's picked up an injury well have to find out

But at the moment I think the Club needs to bring in another free agent for up front if there is someone available that can fit into our style of play.

Well I’m glad I was watching on the telly rather than attending, it’s a filthy night and Notts didn’t do much to engage the small crowd. Did we have a shot on target? I can’t remember seeing one.

Positives: Fringe players got minutes, Tsaroulla was our best player and young Madou Cisse looked lively when he came on.

Brown had a chance to impress but I didn’t see anything from him that made me think he should be in the first team, I thought he was poor.
