Notts may have Lost the Match by the odd goal but there were still some good performances for Notts. Here is my shortlist for man of the match.

Crowley, not at his absolute best, but he was behind most of what Notts were creating.

Jatta, never stopped running, with better luck may have put one of those chances away in the first half.

Platt, his usual self at the back. Calm & assured & secure.

Gordon. I think he was ok & got forward in his role as wing back.

Robertson, did is usual job in the centre of midfield, steady.

Bedeau, he was good at the back once again, & got forward a few times.

Austin, did his usual steady job today.

Palmer, Steady & assured in midfield.

The match was very close & with a little more luck Notts could have easily got a result out of this match.

For me, the team averaged between 6 & 7 out of 10 today. I think that Dan Crowley was the best Notts player on the pitch with a 7/10 rating. So my vote goes to Dan Crowley.

Tough today because we didn't really have much defending to do, but at the same time none of our attacking play was very good. Probs have to say Crowley but please can we get him closer to the opposition's goal than ours!

its rare i find myself agreeing with who the sponsors choose, but i do think dan crowley deserves it. i do think he stood out the most, even if i wished he had of tried to shoot at times.

I thought there were some good performers yesterday. Kellan Gordon did well on the wing and put in some nice balls to Jatta. I couldn’t understand why we didn’t throw more bodies into the Port Vale area instead of hoping one player could change the outcome. My vote goes to Dan Crowley.

One thing in common with whoever gets voted, I feel, is that they will have been relied upon too much to try to influence the game, without more involvement from the team to do something a bit different. I think Kellan Gordon deserved the Man of the Match.

Dan Crowley gets my vote. It’s close between two other players, but I think we need to see a bit more spark in the attacking department.

Kellan Gordon stood out for me. He had a tough time dealing with Port Vale’s heavy marking, but he did well to get crosses in. Dan Crowley also faced heavy marking.

Dan Crowley was involved in everything, and whilst I thought Kellan Gordon and Jacob Bedeau both did well, neither really earned my vote like Crowley did.

Aside from the goal, I thought Jacob Bedeau handled Port Vale very well. He was one of the main reasons they didn’t score more. Not that they could make do with the open net opportunity.

Kellan Gordon stood out for me. If we had more options in the box and better quality on goal, more fans would appreciate his crossing. It wasn’t that his passes or crosses were off; it was a lack of attacking support. I thought he was very good.

I was watching the match and thought that Matty Platt did a commendable job at the back. His calm and composed demeanour helped to absorb some of Port Vale’s aggressive approaches. Despite the team conceding, Platt’s individual resilience was quite apparent, especially in one-on-one situations. The way he communicated with his fellow defenders ensured that mistakes were minimal. However, his efforts alone couldn’t entirely shut out the opponents. We perhaps needed a bit more synchronisation between the midfield and defence for better protection.

Kellan Gordon's performance has been severely underrated in my opinion. His ability to stretch the defence and provide those pinpoint crosses should have been capitalised upon much more. It wasn't just his attacking contributions that stood out; defensively, he was as solid as ever, making it difficult for Port Vale to penetrate. If the rest of the team had moved with his urgency or matched his aggression on the ball, there could have been a different outcome.

Dan Crowley seems to be a popular choice for Man of the Match and rightly so. His influence on the game was substantial, as he was the linchpin in most attacking plays. What impressed me most was how he read the game, always appearing in the right spaces to facilitate forward movement. Some might argue he could have pushed closer to the goal, but his role suited orchestrating plays more than scoring them. Crowley’s work rate was commendable, though, and despite the odds, he kept pushing forward with determination.

Dan Crowley was definitely a standout performer. His involvement in every play was evident, and I can't fault his effort.

I wish Alassana Jatta had converted some of his chances. It was a tough game, but he showed promise. Not quite Man of the Match performance from him, so I voted Dan Crowley.

Kellan Gordon gets my vote. He's someone who contributes both offensively and defensively, adapting to the flow of the game effortlessly. His crosses were precise, yearning for someone on the receiving end to tap them in. The fact that Port Vale players marked him heavily speaks to his threat level on the pitch.

Well done, Dan Crowley.

Kellan Gordon received a fair share of votes, but there’s no arguing with the numbers Crowley earned.

Like others have said, it's rare to find agreement with the club sponsors, but Dan Crowley did deserve to be named the Man of the Match. He put in a very good performance, and despite the fact we lost. The comments from fans reflect how pleased they were with his contributions to the team, so well done, Dan Crowley.

Well done to Dan Crowley; he definitely deserves to be named Pride of Nottingham’s Man of the Match. I hope we can get back to winning ways at Meadow Lane, but Crowley is a big part of our success.
