Morning all, it’s a damp start here and 7 degrees so a bit nippy.

I’m not sure these weekly chats are worth doing, I noticed only two other members have viewed last weeks, let alone commented. So thanks @Robbie and @Piethagoram for taking the time to respond but maybe it’s time to call it a day. People don’t seem to want to engage in general chat.

Don't give up @Fan of Big Tone it's a good thread to have going. With a thread like this you can talk about anything.

Thanks @Robbie I just feel that if only three people are engaging or even viewing then there’s little point, I wish more people would come on even if it’s just to say hello, it could be a very valuable thread to discuss things but the majority of people are obviously not interested.

@Piethagoram that recipe sounds good, we have pasta pesto quite regularly so next time we’ll try that.

Well members of PON it's been a lovely morning here with unbroken sunshine after days and days of murky weather.

Been quite busy today, took the food order from the wife & did the shopping this morning. Sometimes it's nice to go around the supermarket rather than getting the food delivered.

After an early lunch the wife wanted the windows cleaning, so out with the step ladder, bucket & leather. I must say we both did a great job too.

Tomorrow I plan to get out into the garden & prune away the last remaining flowers left standing. No rain forecast for tomorrow so hopefully I can get the planned work done.

I had a weird dream last night, Notts were playing Fulham at Meadow Lane and were winning 5-0 at half time “Mike “Eddie” Edwards scored 2, the Fulham supporters who had filled the Sirrel stand all walked out at half time, they all threw their scarfs and shirts in a pile as they left, I went to look at the pile and there was also people’s shoes, and some bags containing wallets and purses with money, I notified a steward that they ought to be collected so they could be claimed but before anything was done Notts fans were rifling through the belongings and taking stuff, someone was trying on a pair of carpet slippers he’d found and of course the scarfs were popular as they were black and white.

The ref abandoned the game and it was declared a draw by the EFL even though we were 5-0 up!

What a strange dream, I don’t usually remember them but this was vivid.

Good evening.

It's been an overcast day here & it was a little cold this morning.

Bought a new Xmas tree this morning. We do have a big tree we've had for over ten years that's seven foot tall & it takes lots of baubles & lights to fill it.

We are both not in the best of health, so we thought it better to get a smaller tree, that also has lights on it, & we won't need to use all the baubles this year.

We always dress the tree around thanksgiving. That's a special day in the US at the end of November, so our Xmas tree is usually up around 6 weeks or so.

Checked it out when I got home and it looks good & the lights work.

During early afternoon, went in the garden and removed all the dead & dying flowers & trimmed down our apple trees somewhat.

So all in all two good jobs completed today.

Morning all, a cold start at 4 degrees.

Our cat is banished to the utility room at night where she has a night time bed, she very often brings us little presents of mice she’s caught, I usually bury them in the garden, recently something has been digging the dead mice up, whatever it is must have a keen sense of smell to discover the mice under the soil. It isn’t the cat doing it because she has no further interest after the mouse is dead, she just likes to play with them, if it isn’t moving she’s not bothered.

So we wondered what on Earth could be digging up the dead mice, maybe a fox or worse case a rat. In order to find out I’ve put a wild life camera out where I buried the remains of last Monday nights mouse, I’ve not checked it yet but it’ll be interesting to see if anything appears on the video.

Good afternoon.

Nice Sunny Autumnal weather here today. The sub is low but still warm in the sun although the temperature is low.

Looks like the neighbours around us are taking advantage and cutting the grass for the final time this year.

Has anyone written out their Xmas cards yet? The wife was busy doing that yesterday. We always send our Xmas cards away early so it's all done and dusted.

Can't believe the cost of a stamp nowadays. £1:65 for a first class & 85p for a second class stamp. The cost of everything is just going up & up.

In my view, sending parcels within the United States is significantly more affordable, while Royal Mail seems to be on the brink of collapse due to the price. If only they put as much effort into saving it, as they did mess with their post masters.

@Fan of Big Tone: It's difficult to talk about your day(s) when you don't feel things are productive, or it's just work related. I wouldn't feel defeated with the lack of replies, because it is good to have something in general we can talk about. Personally, I mean to but end up forgetting.

Yesterday, a friend took me and @cheeky~k8 up to Wilford Hill cemetery. It was nice to get up there, it's been something I have been meaning to do sooner. Unfortunately, I didn't feel well returning and by 2pm I fell fast asleep. Woke up 7ish, still felt crap and then fell asleep again. I think the coldness is hitting me for six, but I should get used to it. There will always be good and bad days.

i feel i just repeat myself most of the time, my day to day life is routine and i feel boring for saying the same thing over and over. even if it's similar i feel it's mundane.

work has picked up which is expected due to christmas, maintenance are in shut down mode.

at 5pm i will be done for the day.
