Thanks for joining in the thread everyone and if you’re just viewing why not come on and tell us what’s happening in your life?

Well we are now in Norfolk in our holiday cottage which is lovely and cosy, we’ve been for a pint in the local pub and booked a table for Sunday lunch tomorrow, I’ve just cooked a couple of ribeye steaks with chips for our tea washed down with a nice glass of red.

Good Morning.

A reasonable morning with some sun, but it's been a chilly night with the current temperature of just 4 Deg.

Did you know that Voyager 1 that was launched in Sept1977 is still going strong. It is traveling away from earth at approx 10 miles per sec, almost a million miles a day, & is approx 15.3 billion miles away from earth

NASA are still in contact with the probe & recently fired up it's thrusters to enable it to continue to communicate with Earth.

Just putting distances into context Voyager 1, at it's present speed would take 77,000 years to reach the nearest star, Alpha Centauri, the closest star system in the solar system.

Alpha Centauri is 4.37 light years from Earth.

Here follows is an up to date article on Voyager 1.

Good morning it’s a beautiful sunny day here in Norfolk but I suspect it’s a tad chilly, we haven’t ventured out yet.

Today we are going to have a walk through the village to the sea front and have a little walk along the front but we need to be back for 1pm for our pub Sunday lunch so I need to shake a leg and get moving.

Have a great day everyone.

It's nice and sunny here in Nottingham, too. I won't be venturing far from the TV(England play at 5pm).I'm still slowly getting over whatever bug I've got but I'm not blowing my nose as often and cough is getting less severe.. I'm going to make myself a stew ,as a lot of food still tastes strange ,and hope for the best.

Since I started writing this post its gone very cloudy and looks like rain.Snow is forecast for tomorrow!

@super_ram thanks for reminding me about the England match I’d have missed that. Stew sounds nice, that’ll warm you up.

We’ve just got back from our walk, by gum its bracing on the front, I’m glad we’ve brought plenty of warm clothes. We’re off to the pub soon for Sunday Lunch, it’s a brilliant real ale pub just round the corner from our rented cottage. :clapping:
