We have parted company with Steve Cooper, who leaves his position as First Team Manager with immediate effect.

I thought it was a somewhat strange appointment when he arrived at Leicester, although I thought he was doing alright. Their fans never really seemed to take to him, mostly due to managing Forest.

Being a part of certain Foxes groups, I tend to see on Facebook a lot of complaints and I think Leicester City winning the Premier League has made a lot of their fans believe they are a much bigger team. What they did that season was incredible, but what was a united community seems to have led to self-edification and reflections of unfounded glory. There was a lot of talk that they were a top 6 team after gaining promotion. I always thought they would be fighting off relegation, I hope their next appointment is someone who can just return the stability they need to establish themselves as a Premier League team.

It's sad that he didn't last long but it is totally indicative of football at the moment.

If a manager isn't winning matches, their days are numbered, unless you are named Pep Guardiola of course.

Although five defeats on the bounce isn't a good look for Pep.
