It's been a remarkable season for so many teams at the top finding it very hard to put a consistent run together.

I don't think it's been that unusual for League Two, many a team has won promotion on 70-odd points and we're on 68 already. It's just a very even league. That also means that (cliche alert) there are no easy games.

At the other end, Carlisle are now nine points adrift of safety and are surely going down with a whimper. Very sad :(

Not so good for Notts in the 3pm Kick offs.

Walsall lost again.

Grimsby drew.

But Port Vale, Chesterfield, & Colchester all won.

However, Notts still have their playoff future in their own hands.

I can't remember a season like this in league 2 when every week many of the top teams are losing or drawing in such high numbers.

Walsall just avoided another defeat by a few minutes at the end. Port Vale lost, Wimbledon drew

Just one team from the top eleven winning

The team currently in 13 th place, Bromley, are still mathematically in with a chance of making the last playoff space with 3 games to go.

It'll be exciting up to the final day. From our point of view, one more win will almost certainly see us in the playoffs - Colchester and Grimsby would then both need a minimum of 7 points to overtake us, which I don't see happening with their remaining fixtures. As for the top three, we're outsiders now but all we can do is win our games and see what happens.

Mad that Walsall have dropped out of the top three. After 23 games they were 12 points clear at the top, but since then they've picked up just 24 points in their last 20 games. That's virtually relegation form for nearly half the season.

Considering we’ve only won 3 games since March it's nuts that we could still possibly finish in the top 3! I'm still looking the other way so I’m just glad that none of the play-off chasers won. Today’s results were almost perfect for us.

Walsall have dropped two points today by drawing at Newport in the early kick off, but have temporarily gone back into third place.

In the afternoon matches only two of the top eleven teams won, Doncaster & Salford.

Doncaster are basically promoted now, they’ve got a 4 point gap over 4th place Walsall who now haven’t won in 12 matches! It’s extremely unlikely they will win their last 2. I actually hope their promotion is confirmed this weekend, it might give us more of a chance against them!

I think one win for Notts might be enough for Notts to secure a playoff place on Saturday. I know that our record against Harrogate at their ground isn't great, but I'm more confident that Notts can get a result away rather than at home at the moment.

It's maddening - L2 tends to be close, but I don't think it's ever been as easy to get out of it as this season. We've picked up one point from our last four games and STILL have a theoretical chance of finishing in the top three. If we win and Bradford lose on Saturday it could even go to the final game. If we'd held on to our lead for another twenty minutes on Saturday we would have been in shooting distance of Bradford with a play-off spot virtually confirmed. If if if...

We're not catching Donny anyway now, so it's best for us that they seal the deal on Saturday and go for a nice relaxing stroll at Meadow Lane on the final day.

At the other end, Morecambe are gone and Carlisle are just about holding on for now.
