i am looking forward to the game, it would be nice if we could sustain a good cup run but it needs to not come at the cost of the league. peterborough might field a weaker side themselves so they can focus on the league. if they field their strongest squad its going to be tough, especially since we struggled earlier in the season against shrewsbury but it will show how much our defence has improved.

hoping we take the game to them.

I would like to see a relatively strong side to take the field against Peterborough.

It will be a tough match in any case, but I do believe Notts have a chance of creating an upset.

Some players may be rested, such as David McGoldrick altogether, Matty Platt,Lewis Macari, & Matty Palmer on the bench.

I'm sure that Stuart will play a strong side on Saturday. It will be an important game for Hinchy, Martin, Brown, Scott & Gordon, who have something to prove.

Key areas will be as always, Defence, Midfield and up front. This is my starting 11 & substitutes for the match.

Bass,
McDonald,Ness,Bedeau.
Gordon,Abbott,Hinchy,Tsaroulla
Brown,Austin
Jatta.
Subs,

Slocombe,Scott,Palmer,Platt, Crowley,Macari, Robertson, (Robertson & Crowley if fit) otherwise Martin & Cisse

Hoping for a shock. Maybe it could finish up going to penalties after a draw.

I hope we field a strong team as well, hopefully Peterborough might rest a few and maybe be a bit complacent and we can progress to round three. It’d be nice have a bit of a cup run. 🤞

I wouldn't object to seeing one of our youngsters start, but other than that I think we'd be best to start a strong squad. I agree that the back three could see changes because we have capable players in this area that could be rotated for the game. However, our attacking options and better players ahead of those really should be started. I would hope that Cedwyn Scott could start, I would be very tempted to play him as a striker who can drop into an attacking midfield role.

Fingers crossed we can give Dan Crowley some minutes, he's a player who could easily create a special moment that clinches the tie in our favour or helps us compete more closely with Peterborough United.

Whilst I acknowledge the league is far more important, the FA Cup gives us a good chance to bring in some extra revenue and many fans have wanted a good cup run for some time. So, I think whoever Stuart Maynard chooses will be good enough to give a good account of Notts.

The squad and performance don't worry me. I just hope we give a good account of ourselves and provide a real challenge. Early rounds of the FA Cup might be undervalued, but since it's the first time we've reached this stage in a while, I'm going to make the most of it. I think Peterborough might rest some of their players, but we still need to be at our best. I wouldn't rush Dan Crowley into the first team, but bringing him on would be good to see. It depends on his fitness levels.
