I thought this was going to be a good news story for a cheese lover like me but after reading it seems I like all the wrong cheeses.

I eat cottage cheese and some cheese spreads but not the traditional cheddar and Cheshire cheeses.

Have to watch the cholesterol and salt, that some cheeses have in abundance.

But I love Wensleydale with Cranberries or Ginger in it!

Me too @Piethagoram in fact I’ve bought some today, along with St, Augur a blue cheese and Port Salut, three of my favourites. All bad for me though, hopefully park runs help keep the cholesterol and fat down.

Since catching 'the lurgy' and consequently losing my sense of taste ,I haven't been able to eat cheese as it tastes so bad.My sense of taste is returning slowly but unfortunately cheese is still a no no.

My top 5 cheeses.

Stilton (I could write this 5 times to be honest), loved it since a kid.

Roquefort

Wensleydale (with cranberry)

Mature Cheddar

Danish Blue

Bought some Shropshire blue to try this Christmas which is a new one for me. I’ve always Loved a blue cheese, but even more so as I’ve become older.

My favourite sandwich as a child was cheese and jam, usually cheddar cheese & home made strawberry jam.
