This game will have added spice because Cedwyn Scott will be most likely leading the Carlisle attack on his return to ML.

Carlisle have the Philip of an away win & will be full of confidence as will Cedwyn after his first goal for Carlisle in that away win at Fleetwood.

Notts certainly need to up their game after the dissapointing draw against Bromley.

I expect that Stuart will make some changes for the Notts starting 11 for this match. We may see Whittaker, Johnson and Jarvis get their first starts.

I expect that Didzy will be on the bench. With Palmer injured, Hinchy will continue in central Midfield. I'd like to see Tsaroulla start for this match.

I'm sure Carlisle will sit back similar to what Bromley did. Notts need to figure out how to effectively counter these tactics.

I've always pushed for Notts to go more direct on occasions and use Jatta's height upfront to create opportunities.

Hoping for a convincing win against Carlisle. A 2:0 win would do just nicely. A clean sheet would be nice too.

i know we won at their ground and that it was a good result, but i hope the game plays out better. the second half performance was zero attacking threat and it would be disappointing not to put in a display good enough in both halfs. i hope fans dont boo cedwyn scott. i do also hope we can keep him and carlisle quiet. at home it should be a different game and they have strengthened a lot since.

just do what needs to be done but we need to stop being afraid to have shots from distant.

Carlisle are signing lots of new players in an attempt to stay up. And the likes of Embleton and Dummett won’t have been cheap. I guess the good news for us is that whilst their confidence might be a touch higher after beating Fleetwood, the cohesion and understanding between players won’t still won't be great. That’s not an issue for us really, it’s only Whitaker and Jarvis that will be getting up to speed with our patterns.

I’d expect a few changes just because the turn around is so fast. Didzy could possibly be benched and Tsaroulla could possibly start. Abbott and Hinchy are young enough to cope, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Edwards came in for one of them. We do finally have some options and fit players now though which is a good thing.

I can’t see this being as easy as the away game but that said they won’t be as organised or as defensively sound as Bromley were. We should be able to create enough chances in this game, just got to make sure we take them.

(Oh and if Scott plays I hope this is the one game he has a nightmare, then he can be great for the rest of the season!)

Notts has to put Saturday's frustration aside and go for the win against Carlisle. They are still in a very vulnerable place, but I think they will sort it out in time, which will make them try harder.

Passing back should not come at the cost of going forward. We are sometimes too comfortable passing the ball around, which gives the opposition chances. If Carlisle park the bus, we need to break it down and show we have the quality to win these games. If we can score a couple of goals early, I would feel comfortable going into the second half, allowing Carlisle to play more, as we could force them to attack and then kill the game off.

Losing Matt Palmer is a big problem, as we sometimes lack a forward mindset. David McGoldrick is one of the few players who tries to bring the ball forward when teams are defensive. Bromley went from chasing everything to standing off and becoming very organised when they realised we would pass the ball back if we couldn't create space ahead. We need to show teams we can overcome this, especially at home.

This is a potential banana skin, we need to guard against complacency. I hope Notts put a clause in when selling Scott that he doesn’t play against us, if he plays he’s bound to score ex players always score against us and he’ll be busting a gut to score.

Whatever happens I hope he doesn’t get booed.

I’m going for a 3-1 Notts win 🤞

Notts must perform better today against Carlisle United than they did against Bromley. The game needs to be finished off, and it would be frustrating if we can't score. I hope we don't go into the second half at 0-0, but instead have the lead. Then we can focus on securing the result. Super Sammy Austin to make the day!

Let's be honest, if you don't beat Carlisle at home, you don't deserve to be promoted. Shots fired 🤣

3-1 to Notts.

GOOOOOAAAAAL JATTA

"That's the first time they have kept the ball, that is old school football. Get to the by-line, get in a good cross and there was Jatta. First real moment of quality." - Stallard.

I`m a bit worried about the second half, this could be another 1-1 if Notts don`t manage to score another goal, as they should have.

Notts need to step it up in the second half, while it’s only 1-0 there’s a chance that Carlisle will get a goal. We really need to win this.

COME ON YOU PIES!

A Notts win.

Tonight was as incomplete performance as you've seen but they got over the line and that could be a valuable three points come the end of the season." - Mark Stallard
