I thought the referee had no bottle; he easily caved, and I do think Morecambe wanted to hurt our players. I feel sorry for Jodi. He left the pitch quite angry, which was probably due to upsetness, but I felt for him! I actually felt a lot of the harsh challenges; my legs really did sympathise with Abbott, Gordon, Jodi, etc. Fifteen minutes in, I wondered why they hadn't had a card.

When you are that weak, you lose the game, and to make things worse, with our support turning on the referee, he seemed to start to favour Morecambe in a more biased way. I am glad that we managed to score and keep a clean sheet. It was a good team performance, and some of the chances we really should have done better with, but that's football. Jatta toying with Schofield was enjoyable but pressing on the heart.

Whitaker is really coming into it; some very smart play, and he handled the shirt pulling from Morecambe very well. Abbott, unfortunately, reacted, and I think Morecambe could have got him sent off if they had pushed him. Not sure why Jatta didn't shoot when he was put through; I thought we were quite sluggish to shoot at times, but it's a solid win. Derek Adams leaving his technical area and displaying aggression toward Maynard was absolutely ridiculous.

Good performance from Notts. Won despite a thuggish opposition and the ref. Whittaker, Bedau, Bass and Jatta the ones to stick out.

 

The ref is also the one who sent off a NL player after he (the ref) hit the player. Total clown.
