I thought we should have beaten them earlier in the season despite the close contest. I would feel disappointed if we repeated Tuesday night by putting on an unimpressive display and ending up with a draw. I would like to see us take control, including taking the lead and defending far better than we did against Colchester United. We need to show more urgency in finishing chances that are created and in good scoring opportunities. I wouldn't begrudge a gamble on goal rather than relying on trying to walk the ball into the net. When it works, it's great to watch, but our inability to create chances from a distance is something we need to overcome. If we fight and play well, that is all I can ask, and the outcome largely depends on that. Losing would be disappointing, as would drawing, but compared to playing unconvincingly, you have to accept that. I do feel we are hyping ourselves up, with a large amount of pressure only to allow it to affect our performance on the pitch. I would rather do the talking on it, instead of off.

we just took our feet of the pedal against colchester especially in the second half, i would hope we try to not rely on the defence to cut out the mistakes we played ourselves into because tranmere will be more of a threat i feel. i can see it ending as another draw, unless we are brighter on goal and more creative. i would like to see mai traore start, i think bringing him off from the bench does not help him to get his speed up. we could replace him later on if needed, but match fitness will come with game time.

The match against Tranmere won't be easy. They are fighting for their lives to avoid relegation to the National League, being in the bottom three of league 2.

They will employ the usual away team tactics at Meadow Lane of getting ten players behind the ball and just rely on hitting Notts on the break & hoping the Notts defenders will make mistakes.

Notts just need to be incisive up front & try to get behind the Tranmere defence. It will be vital for Notts to get some of their injured players back from injury. 

I'd like to see Austin & Whitaker back in the starting eleven. It will be important for the Notts fans to get behind the side. I think that Notts should get the win by the odd goal, but I'm sure it will be a tense encounter.

I’m hoping for a good entertaining match and a Notts win, ideally by several goals but a 1-0 would be better than drawing or losing. I’d like to see better use of corners, too many on Tuesday night were cut out by the first defender, Palmer has to do better and get the ball into the box.

We also need more tempo when attacking, especially on the break, let’s not give the defence time to get back into position and organised while we do the slow build up.
