I worked at Simon,May & co Ltd at Weekday Cross from 1963 to 1997.There were caves there that extended below the cellars.Myself and a couple of mates entered one but we only had cigarette lighters to light the way.From what I was told at the time they were made available as air raid shelters during the war but think that was just for employees .
