It's been a hot one today.

It's going to be a warm night.

It's probably due to solar flares; I read about this prior to going to the East Coast with my family.

It’s not too bad, until the wind disappears and the humidity makes it feel sticky and hard to cope with. All you can really do is try your best to stay cool.

It’s hardest when the heat messes with your sleep. One bad night and the next day feels twice as hard. The heat feels like it’s never-ending. We’ve just got to ride it out and do what we can to stay cool.

It’s boiling today. The humidity is really noticeable and makes everything feel heavier. We do love to grumble about the weather - too hot, too cold, never just right. But today genuinely feels worse than usual.

It’s not much fun being out in it, especially when the sun’s at its strongest. Best to stay in the shade if you can.

The worst thing about heatwaves is having to go out in them. Everything feels more stressful than it should. Drivers seem to lose all sense, racing around like they’re in a rush to nowhere. It makes the roads feel unsafe. People get short-tempered too. It’s like the heat boils over and no one has much patience. There’s not much calm when it’s this hot. It makes the day feel noisy and unsettled. You just want to get back indoors and shut it all out.

I installed ceiling fans in our living room & bedroom twenty years ago & they still work fine on three different speeds but they are a little expensive to run continuously, so we've had a table & a floor fan working all day. It's kept the two rooms getting too warm, but both are 76.5 Deg F even now,

The front of my house is kept blacked out, while the windows and door at the back stay open until about half past ten. This helps a lot of the heat escape.

There’s a tower fan in my room, another in the living room, and one more placed on the stairs. The fan in the living room gets turned off when it’s time to sleep. The one in the hallway is set on a timer. It switches on when the temperature reaches a certain level after midday.

It’s good to wear t-shirts again without needing to layer up. Just don’t forget the sun cream, and it’s best to stay out of the sun around midday when it’s at its hottest. I’ve really enjoyed the past week because it’s felt like proper summer, though I know it’s been a bit too warm for some.

I’m lucky my apartment has air conditioning, and it doesn’t cost me anything as it comes with the place. That makes a big difference. I don’t need to, but I like to open the kitchen window where I sit and write at home. The breeze has been lovely.

In a few days, it should just be hot again. The best thing to do is make the most of it and keep cool where you can. It’s not always easy though, and I really feel for anyone living in brick houses that trap the heat.

It's lovely and cool in my living room here in Aspley ,thank you @TheSkipper .Very warm in kitchen and hot in garden.Guess where I'll be staying.

It was still very hot all over the UK today but not as hot as Thursday.

This morning wasn’t too bad up until about 2pm. Things really took a turn around 5, though, it felt like everything had been shoved into an oven. There’s a nice breeze now, which is lovely. But earlier on, there wasn’t much of one at all where I was.

As you may know, we Irish are obsessed with the weather. I'm glad I'm not in the UK. Chances are I'd die 🤣 It's very humid where I live. Sweating after trimming the hedge and cutting the grass. I'd take my shirt off but the judge said I can't do that anymore 🤣🤣

It's been raining here in Mansfield during the last hour but it is still hot outside.

We have a yellow warning for thunderstorms too.

Should see a bit of a cooling down on Sunday.

WARMEST DAY OF THE YEAR

It was 35 degrees here yesterday. I barely went out. I opened the windows early in the morning before it heated up too much, then I closed them and the shutters and hid in the dark.

Worst of all, it was still 27 degrees when I went to bed last night!
