  • I thought Sonny Aljofree played fine; admittedly, I struggled to see the 2nd half, but in the first half he did well. His issue was, in my eyes, down to Kellan Gordon being inconsistent and indecisive

  • I can't disagree with this👇

Since our return to the FL, we have played Barrow 4 times and haven't beaten them. 1 loss. 3 draws. We have drawn both games at their place. Barrow haven't scored this season. 1 shot on target in 2 l

New head coach and a lot of new players. Doesn't seem to be a clear pattern of play. Doesn't look good! Something has to change.

We need more creativity, inspiration and a goal and we bring on Grant! I think that says everything.

Nice scenery behind the side with the three stands, you can see the mountains in the distance. Didn't realise it was so close to the Lake District. The rubbish footballers in the foreground distracted me, but only once or twice.

I missed their winner. I needed a wee 🤣 Awful first half. Better 2nd half. Platt and Luker off injured. Hopefully those aren't long term, we lack quality as it is. Any sign of that striker yet? Or a 90 minute performance? Answers on a postcard.....

We look and act like a team that will struggle to collect points

It's on Recruitment, and the players, but we are now at the stage where MP will have to be accountable too.

In modern football, in all leagues, what happens to managers of teams that are stuck at the bottom even at the start of the season? That's the position MP is in now, so he/they better do something about it.

Notts have gone backwards since last season. The balance of the side is very off kilter. The 11 players that were recruited don't look like they have strengthened the squad, on the contrary they appear to have weakened it at this point.

There needs to be movement in the transfer market in the next several days or things are going to get very awkward. There doesn't seem to be any real sign of improvement which is concerning.

Notts have two home games this week against Shrewsbury & Bromley. Nothing less than six points will do, otherwise the Head Coach will be under great pressure from the fanbase.

That was desperate. We were better for a period in the second half, but even then players weren't showing for the ball or running into space. The ball was wellied over the opposite touchline with alarming regularity.

I still have no idea what MP wants to do, we certainly can't see what they're working on in training, and that's a very bad sign. Eight of the first 11 who got us into the playoffs last season are still with us, yet we look like a bottom four team. Barrow and Newport will be glad just to stay up, yet we took just a point from those two games.

I'll write more once I've calmed down. The 500 plus who travelled to Barrow deserved a lot better than that.

Admittedly I didn’t see the game and only listened on the radio but from what I heard there was very little in the way of positives to take from this game. At least Dennis is off the mark I suppose but the overall performance wasn’t good enough to secure a point let alone three.

I try to remain positive but even I am getting a little concerned, the next two home matches are crucial, we need a win preferably two.

I do hope it’s not going to be a season of struggle.

Absolutely, but in the areas we need please and not yet more wing backs! The recruitment is looking like a mess so far. Quantity over quality. It also doesn't say much for our recruitment when we have just one striker available after four games.

Another little positive for @Fan of Big Tone : the lovely cross from Jones for our goal. Dennis nearly had a one-on-one with the keeper in the first half thanks to a nice ball from him too.

What to do about Aljofree? That's the danger of recruiting from Man Utd, you get Man Utd level performances.

Seriously though, that was way below the level required - the way he was beaten for the first and his poor distribution throughout. MP will hesitate when picking him again. Is Ness ready? Could Cotter play there?

He's only young, so we'll give him more chances. But he can't have games like that.

I thought the cross was from Tsaroulla maybe I heard it wrong from the radio?

I was only able to listen but it Stal made it very obvious we didn’t play well, didn’t see a plan or team that knew what it wanted to do. I think the most concerning thing is how Martin has said he wants us to play with more of a press and more intensity but it’s like Maynard -2.0 at the moment. I’m no coach or expert but how can you press aggressively when you play 5 at the back and 1 upfront?

Just arrived home after a long journey.

Director of Football and Head Coach need to leave now, similarities to the Nolan relegation season with such an unbalanced squad. Wing backs galore, no #9, no #10 and an iffy RCB youngster.

Perhaps need a more commanding GK too
