The team as a whole didn't play well today. There is no bones about it. A small improvement for a period in the the 2nd half failed to rescue a point for Notts.

Who was the Notts player that stood out for you? I have included the starting eleven & one substitute for your choice of M of the M.

Those players are

Roos, McDonald, Bedeau, Aljofree, Gordon, Palmer, Iorpenda, Bennetts, Luker, Jones, Dennis, Tsaroula

Only a few had respectable games, the rest ranging from sub-par to atrocious.

I went for McDonald, generally solid and alright with the ball. JJ had his best game inside so far, but that's not saying much. Some really good moments mixed in with some poor ones. An upward curve and maybe worthy of another go or two there, but I hope he's not selected for MoM. He's not there yet IMO

It’s hard for me to pick a man of the match because I wasn’t at the match and it wasn’t on telly so I can only go by what I heard on the radio.

I was really pleased for Dennis when he scored the goal, I think it’s our first from open play, so I’ll give him my vote. Apologies if I’ve got that completely wrong and he had a shocker for the rest of the game.

I agree with Palmer, he had his usual game and tried his best to keep us ticking. JJ did his best and McDonald is a reliable, no-nonsense L2 defender. After that it gets pretty thin. Dennis could potentially be a good signing; he took his goal well but wasn't in the game much, not surprising when we're not playing to his strengths.

He scored the Notts goal. He's a legitimate candidate.

Sonny Aljofree, he should never have gone off.

The best defender on the pitch, he overshadowed Rod McDonald and Jacob Bedeau, making them appear significantly less experienced. It's just a shame Aljofree had to contend with Kellan Gordon being alongside him, as he offered little defensive support. McDonald performed adequately, while Bedeau made an effort but fell short.

Midfield is the area where we are struggling the most; as much as I love Matt Palmer and he did do well, there's not enough from him or those around him.

Matthew Dennis didn't have much service, so I personally don't see how he can be rated or voted on.

There are no wrong answers, just different views based on personal perspective. I thought Nick Tsaroulla made the biggest impact and did more with his time on the pitch than several others managed across the whole game. Barrow was one of the few away games I’ve been able to see, and I was disappointed by how flat Notts looked. There wasn’t much energy or spark in the performance.

Tsaroulla stood out as the highlight. It really shows why we need two strong, effective players in the wide positions.

I thought Nick Tsaroulla was superb when he came on. It’s great to have a player like him, skilful and calm with the ball. He can beat a man and still keep possession, which is rare. That kind of control and awareness isn’t something you see often at the moment.

A lot of players struggle with decision-making, so it’s refreshing to see someone who thinks clearly on the pitch.

Matt Palmer gets my vote, especially with the role he played in both halves. He worked hard and made a difference.

Nick Tsaroulla did well when he came on. He added some energy and looked sharp.

I wanted to see more from Keanan Bennetts. He’s shown promise before, but this time he didn’t offer much and seemed to struggle defensively.

Too many of them had a poor game overall. It just wasn’t good enough.

if tom iorpenda could defend he would have got a lot more praise as he did not do that badly going forward. matt palmer is my man of the match, with sonny aljofree being the second. i thought rod mcdonald did well with stuff in the air but not so much with defending passes he should have booted away.

I voted for Matt Palmer because he was clearly the best player throughout the whole match. He worked hard for all 90 minutes and stood out more than anyone else. I would have liked to see Nick Tsaroulla come on earlier. He added a lot going forward and helped keep things steady at the back when we pushed players up. His impact was clear, even in the short time he had.

I didn’t think Jodi Jones ever really got going. He struggled to find his rhythm. But with Tsaroulla out wide and other options in that area, we can keep trying him in the attacking midfield role and see how it develops.

I agree that Matt Palmer deserves to be named Man of the Match, and I’ve voted for him. I felt that a lot of the players who usually perform well didn’t quite get going this time. Palmer stood out because he kept trying to move the ball around and encouraged smarter play.

It’s a shame the rest of the midfield couldn’t quite match his level. He’s the kind of player who can help drive the team forward. We need to find that spark to get our attacking play going again.

I'm voting for Nick Tsaroula. He's been out of the side with injury, but when he came on as a substitute, he did make a difference during his 34 minutes in the 2nd half, & his excellent cross lead to the Notts goal.

The poll has now closed. Thanks to all of the 50 members who voted in the poll.

We had a close poll this time with Nick Tsaroula & Matt Palmer vying for the top spot, however I'm very pleased to announce that Matt Palmer has been voted the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for his performance against Barrow. Congratulations Matt.

Well done to Matt Palmer, that's two Man of the Matches so far.

I wish Barrow's was under different circumstances, because some might feel it's solely due to how poor the others were, but I do think he's been one of our better players in the three games we've played. I really hope he can continue that impact and help kick the others into upping their own game.
