Statement by the Club.

"Our owners, chief executive and head coach will be discussing various topics at a fans’ forum on Thursday 2 October".

"Chris and Alex Reedtz will be joined by Joe Palmer and Martin Paterson on the panel".

"Season ticket holders can exclusively apply to attend the event, which begins at 7.30pm in the 1862 Suite, by tapping here. All applicants will be contacted via email - either to confirm their place or to be told they've been unsuccessful - in good time ahead of the event. If you wish to apply for more than one person, please submit a new form for each individual. Information regarding parking and other details will be shared with attendees in advance".

"Those not in attendance can submit their questions using the form below and watch the event via a live stream. Pre-submitted questions will be answered in the first half of the evening, with questions from the floor to follow".

Pre submitted questions will be answered in the first part of the Forum then questions from the floor will be invited in the second part.

I used to attend them religiously, but I find them to be quite pointless because any question worth knowing will be diluted or politically answered. It's to be expected, and as such I find it to be more of a waste of time.

This one seems a lot more important, at least for me to see where other fans are coming from and getting a fairer reflection on what concerns people have. Outside of social media and beyond what fans say to me when I talk to them. I would hope the forum isn't an attempt to appease people, as I think it tends to cause more problems.

My hope is that Notts can use this as a way to be informative to us fans and get the majority of supporters back on side with what matters.

That is encouraging for the site, and I'm hoping we can climb the table; there have been teams who have struggled and gotten their act together. I would hope Notts sees how important we are to chasing promotion, digging ourselves out of tough times, and just mounting pressure. We had it for one brief season after promotion back to League Two.

A field where dreams become reality.

I find it more interesting to talk about the fans forum after it’s taken place. Sometimes you can pick up on things that aren’t said directly, and that makes the discussion more meaningful.

I’m not really a fan of holding these forums when there are lots of complaints that don’t seem to have much reason behind them. I’m not saying that’s the case this time, because I do think the club should have given us more updates before fans had to push for it.

The problem is we don’t tend to hold forums when things are going badly, and when things are going well, they often get ignored. That’s why I prefer to wait, see what’s been said, and talk about those points properly. I also like reading what other people think.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

i think it would be a good time for the club to work on its relations with the supporters, and lift morale going into what will be a crucial stage of the season. i wont be attending, i tend to find the forums to be overwhelming with sound and the best bits are usually the talking segments and answers to fan submitted questions which are always filtered through. it is good this is happening, and i hope the notts fans here that go enjoy it.

I will be covering it and giving my thoughts on what was discussed. I think it's important to break it down as a feature and give some insight into it for those who are not able to make it.

It should be a more productive fans forum, provided the form continues, as it will ease some of the upset and bring some clearer perspective.

The timing is good, because it does give us a chance to get more fans on board, and if the club can openly speak about the decisions to bring in the loans and clear up some of the confusion about the board cheaping out by signing them, then it might also make some of the negative talkers relax just a bit. I do wonder if the club believes that they will make a difference to help us gain promotion and then leave space open to make signings of a better quality than we could have made this campaign due to being at a higher level, if all things go well.

If the options were not much better, why not smartly use the loan system and wait for when things change to reinforce the squad with better-quality players from the transfer market?

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

I wonder how many people rushed to apply for the fans forum. I usually wait for the club to share the video afterwards, but I’m thinking about applying this time.

These events feel like a lottery, where you need luck just to get in. That’s one of the main reasons I don’t often try, especially since I know fans who’ve never had the chance to go. It always seems to be the same faces attending. So I’m not sure how fair or random the selection really is.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what the club is most likely to talk about apart from the departure of the Director of Football and the reasons behind the recruitment? What other topics could come up? The Q and A might be the most useful part, as the owners may only highlight the improvements around the ground and away from it, such as the training ground. I will not be putting my name forward to attend, but it should still spark some good discussions.

I don't think we'll find out much more than what fans are already guessing about Alassana Jatta. It's something a lot of people want answers to, but if you know how these things work, you’ll realise it won’t even get past the moderators.

The main topic will likely be the shift in how the squad is being built. That includes the use of loan signings and the exit of Roberto Gagliardi. I expect there’ll be more talk about why the board chose Martin Paterson and how they believe he’s creating something special. I’m not too bothered about going, to be honest.

I am not too bothered about the fans forum. I do not think we will learn much from it, and they often turn into long drawn out events. If you and your mates go along, it can be more enjoyable, but as an event it is not something I find very interesting. I would rather leave it to fans who want to be there.

Funny isn't it ? That most Fans know already what's going to happen at the Forum and they'll be right. These events are a waste of Time and even the Most Ardent of Notts Fans feel the same.

The main thing for me is how the club chooses to set it up and what their approach is. If it's only going to focus on the start of the season and all the drama around it, then I don't think it's worth doing. Those issues could have been dealt with when they happened.

I do believe it's important to ask questions, but the way the forum works can take up a lot of time. It often feels like too much effort for too little in return.

It could be a good idea to try and get fans involved with the club’s goals. It might help rebuild trust and bring back a sense of unity between the supporters and the club. Even if things like the fans’ forum feel like a waste of time, they do give people a chance to ask questions that might not get answered otherwise.

Yes, some questions will be watered down or avoided, but if the right ones are asked, you might still learn something useful. Sometimes it’s about reading between the lines and spotting what’s not being said.

Would I ask anything? I think I’d still take the chance. Even if the question gets brushed aside, it’s better to try than to stay silent and wonder. You never know what might slip through.

Wouldn't you try to ask at least some?

@BromPie It's not what's read between the lines it's the way answers are interpretated by individual Fans. One may take an answer meaning such and such while a second fan will take it to mean something entirely different. And when questioned the Club's answer will be totally different again. Plus the announcement about the Brothers wavering the £10 Million Debt the club owes Football Radar, will certainly put them in a Good Light and put a Stop to any awkward Questions which may have been raised in the Fans Forum. Well that's how I see the debt announcement, while other Fans will Scoff at that suggestion, it's all down to Interpretation.

@Wheelbarrow repair man, Some fans might bring up the debt being written off and ask questions that hint at deeper worries. It’s not hard to imagine people wondering if things are really as good as they seem.

You could be right that the move was meant to lift spirits and make things look more positive. But if fans have real concerns, they’ll likely look beyond the surface and ask what it really means.

I think it's better to look at the gesture in terms of what it means for the club, rather than how it might affect us as fans. That gives a more balanced and fair view.

When you take away the emotional side and focus on the club itself, people tend to think more clearly. It helps to see things as they are, not just how they feel.

I believe it's a positive move. I don't see it as a way to silence fans or stop criticism. The Reedtz brothers are clever businessmen, and writing off £10 million shows they care about the club before anything else.
