Match Discussion: EFL Trophy Round 2 - Barnsley (H)

Featured Replies

It was a good win for Notts although aided by the sending off but nevertheless there were some good performances. Luker, Hall, Bennett’s and Tsaroulla all did well and it was good to see Jarvis back, he was unlucky not to have scored a goal he had at least two good efforts.

Let’s follow it up with a win against Oldham.

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

Barnsley doesn't look to be all that interested in the competition, but this doesn't take anything away from Notts winning. We played a much changed squad ourselves, and it shows the strength we have on the bench and in rotation and that must give hope that once our form becomes consistent that we will be able to start climbing up the League Two table again.

Lincoln City and ourselves, I think will progress from the group unless Barnsley decide to take it a bit more seriously.

It's good to know that we can do well, making such changes and know that the players coming in look just as good as those who have been rested. It says much more about us than Barnsley.
